“Glory of the Heavens”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

As an experienced astronomical observer, I wondered if our experience (my father and I) would rate highly among our previous astronomical experiences. Not to worry!...It was a very interesting and exciting evening! Adam Block’s skill with the 32 inch telescope and manipulating the CCD camera was impressive. Adam’s seamless mastery of navigating between various objects provided a endless panoply of glorious views. Adam’s sky knowledge is apparent as we listened to his detailed and engaging descriptions of the objects we looked at. We observed a variety of “Deep-Sky” objects such as galaxies, nebulae, and also several planets. This is something to do that I would recommend heartily to anyone that loves the sky... and if you don’t "love" the night sky now, you will after enjoying this experience. Use the link on the Trip Advisor website to go the the observing program's website and look at some of the images obtained by Adam with the telescopes there
"Enjoy the Heavens" ;-)

Thank you very much for your feedback. Given that you participated almost three months ago it is safe to say you found the experience memorable. This is exactly what we strive to achieve and the SkyCenter is very happy you chose to spend this particularly unique evening with us.

“Adam Block is extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic and thorough in this marvelous presentation of the night sky.”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

We were in Tucson for a meeting and signed up for the Sky Center Observatory program. It was absolutely the most interesting and informative astronomy program! The 32 inch telescope brought everything in space to what seemed an arm's length away.

Adam Block was phenomenal as our guide to the night sky. We saw other galaxies, planets (Saturn and Jupiter), new stars, dead stars, red, yellow and blue stars, a comet, a satellite, the moon's surface, the sun's gaseous surface and perimeter, the 'green flash' at sunset and on and on. A deli-style supper was included.

This 5 hour program is definitely worth your time and dollars. It does get cold after sunset on the summit even though it may be well over 100 degrees in Tucson in the summer. It takes about an hour to drive from Tucson to the summit. Stay in Tucson for the night if you are traveling.

We were so impressed with Adam Block's presentation we bought tickets for our daughter and son-in-law. It was exciting looking through the telescopes and seeing objects light years away.

“Great program!”

I took my husband as a birthday surprise and certainly enjoyed the evening. Adam Block is entertaining and made the night fun. Heed the advice on warm clothing. The program could improve on the food.
