A blessed relief from the 'busyness' of everyday working life, Aga Reef lives up to it's reputation for beauty, serenity and of course - brilliant food!

Our 5 day stay at Aga Reef was heavenly, we watched the reef fish from our deck every day, swam in the lagoon at least twice daily and finished the day with a beautiful meal at sunset. Drifting off to sleep with the sea gurgling around the pillars under our waterfront villa was a memorable experience - wonderful!

We felt perfectly at home with the beautifully understated decor of our very comfortable and sizeable villa; the restaurant and reception were equally lovely with sumptuous displays of fresh tropical flowers.

Staff treated us exceptionally kindly, 'Talofa Lava' and a broad smile added volumes to our experience, great service all round.

Practical mentions - beds were superb, showers top notch and the outdoor shower a great asset. Rooms were always kept fresh and inviting.

If you are looking for the ultimate warm retreat from Winter's woes, this is the place. Catch the Aga Reef shuttle bus from the airport and wake up next morning in a tropical paradise. New Zealand to your villa at Aga Reef in just 5 hours...

We'll be back.

I am Samoan, born in NZ and raised in the US. I travel for a living and have been in the best and the worst hotels. I always come to Samoa for business or family and I always stay at Aggies Hotel or Resort. I want to tell everyone that Aga Reef Resort and Spa is amazing if your on the West Side of Samoa. It is amazing from the time you checkin, the very friendly staff and the rooms are incredible. We were greeted by the owner and offered the VIP room for a nice rate. The rooms, all of them are beautifully furnished, cable TV and lots of room for relaxation, quiet time and the food is delicious. The Meredith's have out done themselves with state of art rooms and of course you would think you are in Fiji with how the rooms overlook the ocean. Everyone, this is an amazing hotel on the Lalomanu side. Please try and make it a point to go and see it and stay there. You wont be sorry.

Room Tip: Try and get the VIP room its not much more than a regular room, but the regular room is only missing...

Amazing location. A beautiful smaller resort which suited us.Loved the ocean views and the Lagoon. Villa tastefully decorated and comfy bed. Fabulous bathroom. Staff very professional, friendly and accommodating. Kit the chef prepared great dishes and had Pacific specials every night. Take snorkelling gear and flippers.Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will return.

Room Tip: We had an Ocean View Villa No 10 and had fabulous views of the Ocean and the Lagoon. Could see the...

Brought Meg and twins here for a night to celebrate Meg's birthday. Had a very smooth check-in and stayed in one of the villas out on the barrier island. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The sound of the reef break is ever-present and very relaxing. The small deck on the front of the villa is lit underneath at night and twins enjoyed watching the fish swimming in the lagoon. The resort's pool is very nice for the kids and adults to cool off in and there is great snorkeling in the lagoon and beach next to the resort. The dining was excellent and I agree with another comment on here that it was the best meal I have had in Samoa since I've been here. The spa has somewhat limited hours, so plan accordingly if this is on your to-do list. Highly recommend this resort to all.

A third stay simply confirms what we thought on the first. This is the most wonderful place to come to - to relax, eat, drink, swim and simply be in beautiful surroundings and total comfort.
The chef Kit continues to add dishes combining local fare with his award winning ability to delight your taste buds.
Management and staff are friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive. Despite there being other guests, you get the feeling that your enjoyment is all that matters to the staff.
If you had to choose just one place to stay in Samoa, this is it.

Room Tip: We have stayed on the island and on the shore and enjoyed both villas equally.

Having not been happy with prior booked accommodation we called into Aga Reef and was met by the lovely Margaret who was extremely helpful and within a few hours we were held up at the beautiful Aga Reef Resort. Kit and his restaurant staff provided exceptional meals and outstanding service. The rooms were well thought out and extremely comfortable - especially the beds. All together Aga Reef provided us with a great experience and thoroughly recommended this as a destination for those wanting a relaxing stay. Having spent a few hours in the water the lagoon probably has some of the best coral and fish life post tsunami. Thank you Aga Reef Resort.

We spent four days here at the end of a fantastic trip around Fiji and Samoa. It's a wonderful, peaceful resort at the foot of a stunning range of hills. The rooms were high quality with a large and comfortable balcony and it really was the perfect getaway at a reasonable price.

The breakfast was a little limited in selection but this was more than made up for by incredible staff. I had a hankering for a whole reef fish as surprisingly we had had trouble getting fresh seafood at other places we'd stayed perhaps as it was low season. The owner and chef picked up a huge parrot fish from the market and cooked us a fantastic going away meal.

We have travelled a lot and are very hard to please but this place really ticked all the boxes. Beautiful, modern, comfortable, reasonably priced and my wife loved the massage. The fish was the icing.

Thanks to the staff for going the extra mile.

And a tip. If you do go, don't forget to spend a morning at the stunning swimming hole nearby.
