I went for a business dinner at this old house and was impressed by the good level of restoration and by its gardens. There are some hike trails in the vicinity that we enjoyed after dinner.

We had a wonderful guided tour by some ladies from the University who were there on placement. This fascinating and beautiful home is well worth visiting to learn its colourful history and to see the items on display.

Happy we got to see it as it was a public holiday in Samoa. They are usually closed on public holidays but there was a cruise liner in Samoa at the time. Staff were great. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff

I was the only one there on a Saturday. The gift shop is excellent for books and souvenirs. Because I was the only one, I had a private guide who was very informative of the life and history of RLS. This is also a good place to get postcards and stamps.
