First impressions of the property and staff were great. Staff greeted us with a smile and juice/ fruit platter on arrival which was great. Rooms are lovely, plenty of space and great sized bathrooms and dressing area... Swimming pool looked amazing but were renovating at the time which made for a bit of a downer as it was very hot and my husband was looking forward to a swim the moment with stepped out of the plane. I spoke to the hotel the day prior and I feel a warning of this maintenance would have been proper as the website heavily focuses on the pool as a huge selling point for the property so it was a bummer when it was out of action. None the less, the hotel owner was very gracious is allowing us extra leeway with issues regarding our arrival times and flight difficulties which we appreciated immensely and that out weighed the need a for a pool. Breakfast and dinner was great. Proper cooked breakfast came free with the room, much better than the skimpy tropical ones we received else where. Dinner was amazing, the food was great and staff very very attentive. Lunch service was very slow and the staff seemed to be on holiday mode while the resort owners were not present. We had to ask for our own table, then a menu, then the menu we received was wrong, then it took another 45 mins to receive our meals which were just 2 mains, nothing overly crazy and we were the only diners in the entire place so not sure why it took so long. Very happy with the breakfast and dinner service though. Overall good stay, great fafa staff member on the front desk, very lovely and another fafa on dinner service. Highly impressed with their attention to detail.

Room Tip: Grab the poolside rooms, they have the best spot for the pool and your in amongst all the fun!

I think the staff make this place a great place to stay, they're warm, welcoming and very informative, re to places to visit/swim/snorkel. The food was nice also, price was reasonable, bread was a stand out at breakfast for me.
The rooms were nice, clean with Aircon, free water, showers have warm water and are very big! So nice to come back from site seeing to a nice warm shower with aircon in the room.
I would definitely go back again, it's nice also that it's away from Apia up in Apoa heights away from busy traffic.

The expansiveness of the property, beautiful tropical landscaping and individual villas makes the Orator a wonderful retreat.
Although our trip was for business, we noticed several vacationing families taking advantage of the pool. We also were able to view from afar a lovely wedding the hotel coordinated.
We enjoyed the fresh fruit, eggs, muffins and coffee each morning for breakfast.
The beautiful fragrant flowers arranged among the hand towels on the vanity won't be easily forgotten.

What a great place to unwind and relax. Such friendly helpful staff - beautiful people with wonderful smiles and nothing too much trouble. The fale was all you could want - beautiful and very clean with good airconditioning for those very hot days. The pools were great to cool down in. The gardens surrounding the hotel are magnificent - a credit to Jerry, Charlotte and the staff who helped create them. The tropical cocktails were divine and the food a very high standard. But our lasting memories are of the staff - they made such an impression, we will definitely go back and stay at the Orator to see them. You and the surroundings definitely helped make our holiday in Samoa memorable. This would be a great venue for family celebrations.

Staying at ORATOR Hotel in Apia, was an experience that you get in a few places in the world.Great services, large rooms with room service par excellence, excellent ambiance. Great tropical gardens surrounding the hotel .What's great about this place is that you're staying in a place that's 3 degrees cooler than any hotel or resort in town.It makes a big different. They could be some improvements to the restaurant's menu, vine list and transport to and from airport. But overall, ORATOR will make your stay in Samoa unforgettable.Staff and management always helpful with a Samoan smile and special kindness unique to Samoa.Go ORATOR Go Samoa!! Thank youuuu! Ivo

Room Tip: Try to get a Poolside villa

Thankyou to everyone at the Orator Hotel. We had a fantastic time while we were in Samoa. Hotel manager Tim could not help us enough for our stay. We had a 40th birthday inwhich they did up the room for us to celebrate in style.Nothing was to much trouble for Tim and the staff.food was fantastic and the room were very clean and the gardens were beautiful (Jerry the owner did all of these on his own ). The pool area was beautiful adding to a fantastic stay. Everyone in our party were very happy with the service we recieved while in Upolo. Once again thankyou to all at the Orator. We wont forget the Karva night aswell as the seafood night done especially for us. Having tim look after us was worth every cent inwhich we paid. Thanks to all

Room Tip: Go for a pool side room, so close to the pool
