“Really comfortable and good restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

We stayed here on the last night of our 15 day cycle Samoa adventure. It was so good to have an exremely comfortable king size bed, modern bathroom facilities, air con, fridge and kettle. We were on the ground floor and our decking area was adjacent to the large swimming pool. The restaurant on the premises had very good meals at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Corner room (11) on ground floor very quiet.

Easy 10 minute walk to town centre or taxi stand over the road. Nice pool situated in beautiful garden. Simple but adequate breakfast supplied with option to purchase cooked breakfast. Large refurbished rooms and views of sea from upper floors. Good service. Suitable for a base to explore Apia area but no lagoon swimming nearby.

Room Tip: Ground floor if access is and issue or top floor for view

You have to like a hotel where the receptionist knows you by your first name - and really, everything else seems to fall into place after that. From our "talofa" (Samoan for welcome) from Ioana on arrival, we were made to feel like family.
Price wise for the rooms, it presents great value!
Our 7 night stay was in one of the ground floor units, with direct access to the pool - open from 7am to 10pm, and even at night with people in the pool, the room was deadly quiet. Maybe it would have been nice to have net curtains for some privacy, but this is only a minor point.
As with a lot of the South Pacific hotels, there are small ants around - but just keep your food covered up or in the fridge.
The bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom spotless - the ladies making up the rooms were bright and cheery.
The restaurant is wonderful - the cost of dinner and drinks was about WST (the local currency Tala) $50 with soft drinks, a bottle of white wine puts you back about WST $60. A NZ steak was WST $20. The food is plentiful and varied, and obviously popular with heaps of locals eating there at all hours. Sit outside, under cover and you get a pretty good view of the harbour.
One thing to remember though when you visit Samoa, cut back your pace by two thirds, and you will make the most of your stay at the Amanaki!!

Room Tip: For those who like a quiet room, considering proximity to the pool, try the ground floor. We were i...

My 8 night stay at Amanaki was excellent. The staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. My room was on the ground floor and just a few meters from the pool. All of the facilities were clean and tidy. The restaurant provided excellent Meals at reasonable prices. The restaurant staff provided excellent service with quick seating and taking of orders and ensured that empty plates were cleared from the table promptly. I definitely recommend this place as a great place to stay. I will be bringing my family here when I next return to Samoa.

It started with getting prompt, friendly responses to all my emails enquiring about staying here, so when we arrived I was not surprised to be greeted with a welcome and beautiful smile by the lovely Ioana. We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't fault a thing. Rooms were large, lovely and clean. Pool was great to come back to after a hot day out and about. The restaurant had tasty meals and were great value for money. Must try the poke! Best on the island. The service was excellent!! Everyone was so helpful. We were lucky to get a room on the ground level, right next to the pool. We definitely look forward to staying here again when we visit Samoa next. Thanks so much to Beverly, Lynelle, Ioana and the rest of the Amanaki staff!

Our 4 night stay here was just so lovely. We will definately be back. The staff are excellant, nothing is a problem and the owner always mingles with guests. This is a very comfortable place to stay, I had been told its only about 2 years old and the pool area is very clean. The rooms are spacious, could do with better wardrobes but other than that we were very happy here.

Room Tip: Top floor (3rd) more quieter you do not hear people above you walking around. All rooms have an exce...

My fifth time in Apia, my first time at Amanaki, I can't praise it enough.
The location is great -a short walk to the flea market and town. The staff are very well trained to help make your stay run smoothly. The pool is one of the nicest I have had the pleasure to swim in in Samoa.
The rooms are spacious and cool with a nice view and sea breeze.Great having a fridge and tea and coffee facilities, I just hope the availability and price stay the same so I can keep staying at Amanaki.

Room Tip: the top floor had great views and a nice sea breeze
