“Wonderful tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2014

Fusi was our energetic and knowledgeable guide and infused everyone with enthusiasm. The coconut demonstration included the guide from the other bus climbing up a tall palm tree with only his bare hands and feet - very impressive - and then demonstrated weaving the leaves and drinking the coconut milk/water. Entertaining and educational. The lunch on Namu'a island was delicious and everything the web site said it would be. Be prepared for very warm water. A very good way to see Samoa.

“Exceptional Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

Our tour began by boarding nice air conditioned buses right on the pier a short walk from our cruise ship. Fusi our guide was entertaining and a wealth of information. The island drive and the coconut demonstration were quite amazing. As mentioned in a previous review, to see a 43 year old man scampering 40 feet or so up a tree is mind bending. After driving through several small villages we arrived at what appeared to be a deserted small shipping port where we boarded a couple of makeshift ferries to Namua Island fale where we were treated to a traditional Samoan umu oven lunch that was delicious. When I thought I had seen all the beauty this island had to offer, our last picture stop at Piula Cave Pool was truly the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this tour if you're traveling via cruise ship. It encompasses all the highlights and more!

“Sacred Heart Netball Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

We were on a school netball tour for 10 days and were taken care of really well. Fusi looked after us and helped with any queries. He was FABULOUS and we really appreciate everything you did for us. Our girls are still talking about how fantastic they thought you were and how generous you were with your time and heart.
Tupu was also great and spending time with him was very beneficial for the girls culturally and historically in relation to Samoa. Thank you for coming to Namua Island with us for 2 days and also for Zita who organised it.
When we come back we will definitely be using you again.
Love to you all.......

“Time very well spent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

We did a tour with about 30 other people off our ship. It was a full day of interesting sights, well hosted. Our guide, Toopoo (sp), a "talking chief" was pleased to tell us about the Samoan way of life. It was interesting to hear of the village way and the hierarchy of local politics. Many have commented upon the coconut demonstration, and it was quite amazing. To see a 43 year old man scampering 40 feet or so up a tree is mind bending. a trip to the small turtle island for swimming and an in the ground lunch was refreshing.

A must do and a great value for money

“Two FABULOUS days!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

The owner of Polynesian Xplorer, Francois Martel, met my husband and I both on Samoa and Western Samoa to introduce us to our tour guides and check one last time about exactly what we wanted to see. Both days were perfect!!! The guides were so knowledgeable and touring privately without climbing on and off buses with the crowd from the ship is so worth it. One of the highlights was having our guide, Tupu, climb a coconut tree barefoot to cut down several fronds and coconuts. He then opened the coconuts using both the traditional and more modern methods. Finally, he weaved a plate and basket. All this just for us.

If you want the best guides and a day designed just for you, book with Polynesian Xplorer!!!
