This was our first visit to Samoa and our first experience staying in beach fales. Satuiatua is a beautiful location with the fales right on the beach and beautifully shaded by the amazing banyan trees.

Leilua (Mum) runs a tight ship with a real focus on great food, comfort and cleanliness. The little things like raised beds and curtains in the fale, a beach shower and water bowls to wash our feet make a real difference. A beautiful breakfast and a la carte dinner are included in the rate. The fresh fish and local produce available every day was a highlight but if you want steak and chips it is there.

Phila is a great host and went out of her way to make our stay special. She even managed some internet access for us to check footy scores!

The resort's connection with the village is unique and offers a real insight into Samoan village life. Don't miss church across the road on Sunday morning followed by lunch with the family. The dress code for visitors is fairly relaxed and the "all white" is not expected.

The snorkelling at high tide is excellent with beautiful coral and lots of coloured fish. Other highlights were trips to the waterfall, the blowholes and Leilua's plantation. We decided not to rent a car but Ole's taxi service was excellent. Ask the resort to organise your taxi pickup from the ferry. (70 tala).

We spent 4 nights at Satuiatua Beach and it has given us many great memories of our visit to Savai'i. The treehouse fale should be ready for our next visit!!

This place is amazing. The fales are placed under these huuuuuge trees, so it is nice and cool in their shade even on days with hardly any breeze. The place is run by mum and daughter who are both excellent at English and have a great sense of humour. They make you feel very welcome, and the rest of the staff is really nice too. The fales are equipped with mosquito nets and bowls of water to rinse the sand off your feet before entering. There are no power plugs in the fales, but you can charge stuff in the main fale, where the meals are served. Shower and toilet facilities are shared. The beach is really nice and the snorkeling is quite decent. For 75 WS$ pr. person, you get accommodation, dinner and breakfast, and the food is really good with plenty of choices.

Satuiatua Beach Fales is a beautiful and shady place with clean accommodation. The food is great as well! I also like the fact that you are in the village rather than in a fenced off resort. Best of all the staff are caring and accessible. I was not well when I arrived and certainly felt cared for. Thanks Fila!

I regret I have to leave this gorgious place today! Wonderfully situated under giant banyan trees, superb fales (large, good beds, well take care of), the best corals in Samoa if you like snorkeling (I do!). Great hospitality. Phila manages the resort, her name means "love" and she deserves that name! And wonderful food. Flowers on your table. Assistance if you neede any help. Many excursions in the direct environment, offered by the resort.
The price is minimal for what they offer.
Wish I could come back and stay for a long time!

Forget Manase with its hoards of tatty Fales cluttering the beach and head down the coast to Satuiatua. The Fales were far more comfortable and roomy than any of the others that I saw, the shared bathroom facilities were clean, the service was friendly and very accommodating, and the beach was beautiful. I was unfortunate enough to get sick shortly after arriving, and the owners were incredibly accommodating, taking me to the clinic, cooking me special meals and constantly checking to see that I was alright. The fales are located under huge banyan trees, which provide all day shade, so it is a very comfortable beach to spend the entire day, in the sun or in the shade according to your preference. Swimming is best at high tide, when the snorkelling is wonderful with a reef teeming with little fish just a few metres from the beach. Thank you to Leilua and her wonderful team of workers. i will be back to see the new treehouse.

Room Tip: Fales to the right of the restaurant are quieter

Our family stayed here for three days whilst visiting savai'i. This is a delightful place under these massive tress overhanging the beach providing necessary shade under the Samoan sun. The false are clean and large. We stayed in the dinky house over the water and enjoyed the best sunsets over the lagoon. The meals are very good from a huge choice of dishes. There is a left hand surf break down the far end which is an easy paddle out. No boat trips here. High tide only as it is shallow. Cheap friendly and very customer focused. Our kids loved it here and occupied playing with the owners children the whole time. The hidden secret of this place is the perfect white sand beach twenty mins walk down the road and off a jungle track. The water is turquoise andusually deserted. There is an ice cream shop halfway along for the biggest scoops you could ever think was possible on a cone.
Thanks rob Jane and family.

Awesome place, super friendly staff, great beach. The fale's are a touch above most, and the dining fale is a really cool place to drink a beer while watching the sun sink into the Pacific Ocean. The place has been going for a long time and they are really committed to quality and everyone having a great time. Our family wth a 4 and 7 year old loved it.

Room Tip: There is an over the water house, a little more than the Fales, where a beer and the sunset would be...
