We stayed here for two nights with our family of boys and what a treat! First off, the family that runs the place is extremely friendly and welcoming. Our boys played water pistol wars, board games and hide and seek in the dark with their son. We rented the over the ocean fale which is perfect for larger families as there are three separate rooms, a private sitting area and a balcony right over the water where you could watch the kids swim from. The price is right too, and the location is great for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing or just hanging out Samoan style! Another distinguishing feature from other Samoan fale resorts is the food. For one it's very good and secondly you get to choose your dinner from a large menu; variety and taste you just don't typically see at other fales. So if you're looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy beautiful Samoa and its people, I would highly recommend Satuiatua.

Room Tip: If you like the open fale experience, go for their large open fales with raised beds. The over the...

On our last trip to Samoa we spend most of our time at this place and this is by far the best place you can get. It's beautifully situated, the huge banyan trees provide good shelter from the sun. The reef is just out there and you don't even need a snorkel, the water is so clear you just stand there and watch. The fales are spacious and very clean. All of them with a beautiful view out to the sea. If you are into surfing there is a good wave nearby (less than 10min walk).

But the best thing about this place is actually the family running it. So welcoming and friendly you wouldn't have seen in many other places in the world. They make you feel part of their own family. The food is excellent too and you have a good range of meals to choose from. We'll definitely come back as soon as we can...:)

Awesome food, awesome fales, awesome snorkeling! Once we found Satuiatua we made no further travel plans - we had arrived in paradise!

Good surf break which is protected by the trade winds and larger swells is approx 10min walk away with an easy paddle out.

Totally recommended!

Find a taxi driver from a nearby village - its cheap to get around

Room Tip: If you want to try surfing Aganoas, make sure you call ahead - we were less lucky

The family, the banyan trees, the best food eaten in Samoa, fresh from the plantation and the sea, the reef and the willingness to answer all those questions as two 60 year old's make sense of what they are seeing around them as they travel around. Found the variety of fish amazing when snorkelling. The young girls who do chores around their scholastic demands always willing to chat and explain. Grandma runs a tight ship so the place is immaculate. The family are really the treasures of this place.

Sleeping under the huge banyan trees and listening to the gentle ocean was peaceful and refreshing. We have added lots of photos to show how magical it is.

The family who run Satuiatua Beach Fales are friendly and have a fun sense of humour. The beach is good for swimming, snorkelling and fishing. They serve the yummiest home cooked traditional food on the island (make sure you try the pulasami, cooked coconut cream in taro leaves). And the coco rice for breakfast, yumo!

I would recommend this place - worth the trip across the island.

We first came in just for a few nights, but never left this place ! We loved it so much and felt right at home that we didn't want to leave !
The owners and their kids are ledgends, the staff amazing and Annie the chef is a magician ! (spicy fish and oka are a must to try)
The resort was really clean and tidy and the beach and its lagoon is great at any tide, which is ideal when you want to relax on holiday.
We slept in a fale right on the beach which was a first experience, but waking up with the sound of the waves and a pink sky, well, nothing can beat that really.
Also, a really great experience, we were invited to join the family for the traditionnal sunday lunch which was amazing and so yami !
I would definitely recommend this place, as it is just a paradise with great people, great food for a wonderfull time at an excellent price !

Room Tip: The honey moon fale is definitely the best one !

We were fortunate to have the fale closest to the beach and the sunset and sunrise was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and Fale clean.

Meals were wonderful and great variety.

Toilet and showers were clean. Although the signs for the same are Samoan so Palagi's (foreigners) seem to get mixed up. Not that it mattered cos you can lock from inside.
Snorkelling was great too and I fed the fish which was fun.

Friendly family run and happy to help in any way.

Room Tip: ask for breach front Fale, although the waves make wake you so suggest earplugs
