It could be perfect,if they tidied up the surroundings around the pool area for the turtles and the toilets and make a bigger platform and shelter for the volume of visitors.Ive been here three times over three years and everyone moans about being huddled in this little area.Great tourist attraction feeding and swimming with the turtles and I enjoy it,shame first impressions though.

The turtles are beautiful gentle creatues and you can get right in the water with them and stroke them (derek the turtle loves his neck rubbed) swim with them or just give one a bit of a cuddle. We were fortunate to visit at a very quiet time of the day and so we got to swim with many of the turtles. A delightful memory I will never forget.

We found being able to see and touch the turtles up close an amazing experience.
We were lucky enough to be provided with a knife and 2 papaya when we got there and yes, if you put your finger out instead of papaya, you gould get bitten, we didn't.
Yes it was a bit sad to see them enclosed but after reading another review I feel better about the whole operation.
We paid 5 tala PP, one of the cheaper visits.
We also did not swim with them, probably would have had the water been cleaner.

Given the cleanliness of most of the water in Savaii the concentration of turtle excrement etc in the holding pond was concerning. The chance to get close to these remarkable animals really needs to be tempered with appropriate management of them. The operators urgently need some guidance here.

This is a great attraction and well worth the visit! Only $5 tala and you can feed them fruit (we took some but there was some banana skins avaiable- would advise maybe byo). Around 25 turtles on a big pond. You can get in the water with them but we didn't as it was rather dirty.
