Wonderful location, beautiful clear water for swimming and snorkeling, glass bottom boats available to view fish and for a paddle over the coral reef. A clean pool for swimming when the tide is out. Bikes available for hire next door, so heaps to do. Clean comfortable aircon. fales, friendly staff. Several options in the village of where to eat for dinner. We would have liked to stay here for a couple more nights, but even 5 months out this place was already totally booked out, so book in early. And best of all - the amazing sunsets!

Room Tip: The earlier you book the more chance of the best rooms, although all the beachfront rooms are good.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Lagoto and we hope to go back in the future, the rooms were wonderfully decorated and the air conditioning was absolutely necessary, we originally booked for an ocean view fale but were given an oceanfront fale with no upgrade charge, their was only a double bed in it meaning to portable 2 beds were brought in for the kids however the kids complained that the mattresses were to soft. The resort gave free access to its kayaks which were glass bottom and were great for watching fish on the reefs. we brought our own snorkeling gear and the kids used it heaps in front of our room off the small jetty meaning we could sit on the deck and watch them safely. I believe that the pool was a great facility because at low tide you are unable to swim in the sea without standing on reefs.
The le lagoto restaurant was a little over priced and the menu was not that good. but this problem was solved with buffet night on sunday and fiafia night with a buffet again on thursday. also savaii lagoon resort just down the beach had a restaurant unadvertised in any of our brochures which had a new menu every night depending on what was avalible and seki e pizza just down the road which had some of the best pizza we have tasted also the shop across the road sold takeaways and drinks much cheaper than the le lagoto bar, this led to us using the bar very little.
we found plenty to do outside of the resort as seki e pizza rents out bikes at a good rate and further down the road a man has to well kept rental cars, however he did not understand licence validation and we were informed our NZ licencse would be fine, this was not the case when we were pulled over at a random check point. (make sure you get your licence validated at salelologa) Their was also a dive shop across the road but we did not go on any of their courses.
the resort has plenty of staff and this means it is immaculately kept.

After a long trip from Adelaide, Australia we arrived at Le Lagoto Beach Resort. It was our first stay and we were joining friends for a wedding celebration. We stayed in a beachfront fale a few steps from the pool, bar and amenities. The pristine ocean views, divine sunsets and crystal water were better than any tropical location we have ever experienced! Resort amenities were fantastic, service and food was great. Nothing was a problem. We hired a car at the airport, which we would recommend to get around Savaii, however there are cool 70's style buses that you can get around on. If you do hire a car you need to purchase a temporary drivers license. We would also recommend bringing your own snorkel gear however you can hire from the dive shop over the road from the resort. The coral and tropical fish were everywhere! Certainly be back to this beautiful place.

38 friends and family arrived at Le lagoto for our wedding which was on the 4th June 2011. We stayed in one of the beautiful beachfront fales with our 2 children who are 5 and 3 years old. We were positioned closest to the pool and entertaining area. We arrived after a 3am start with 13 friends to the warmest welcome, our rooms were all ready and perfect. Check-in was a breeze. From that minute on, Gabriella, Seti, Uga and all of the staff could not do enough to make our stay totally majical. Nothing was too much trouble. I chose to have our wedding down the far end of the resort which has some beautiful trees and much needed shade. Gabriella organised everything so wonderfully and systematically. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the gardens looked beautiful, the flowers were beautiful. There were petals on the ground where we walked - it was so amazing that words do not do this resort or the staff justice. The food was consistantly delicious and luckily the weather was gorgeous. Our children were so happy here, the pool was perfect for them - they were able to touch the bottom in a large portion of it and they basically lived in between the pool and the ocean. The snorkling was just in front of the resort with the kayaks being right there for everyone to enjoy. Everyone is our party - which was just about the entire resort totally loved the whole experience and were impressed with everything about this resort. I cannot reccommend this beautiful paradise strongly enough. Thank-you so much LeLagoto. We miss you.

Thinking back to our three week stay in Samoa, Le Lagoto was definitely the nicest place we stayed in. We loved the very intimate, personal atmosphere of this small resort, the attention to detail, the wonderful staff. Le Lagoto management was the only one of all resorts we contacted and booked with that answered emails immediately and addressed all questions thoroughly. Thank you, Gabriella and Seti! The little beach is nice, the bungalows stylish and functional at the same time. (Only the bathrooms could probably use a little updating.) It is definitely worth spending the extra money for an oceanfront unit - those are truly spectacular. If you like privacy, but want the unobstructed oceanview, ask for the third or the fourth unit away from the pool. This resort is what Samoa should be - small enough to still have the feeling of being part of the village, but wonderfully managed. The complimentary breakfast was lovingly prepared, with lots of fresh fruit. Only big breakfast eaters might miss quantity. Lunch and dinner were good, considering how hard it must be to get fresh ingredients in the middle of the South Seas. The view from the open dining room over the ocean is something to remember. If you stay for a few nights, definitely order dinner from the pizza place next door at least once. The young Samoan lady who just took over the business from an Austrian really knows what she is doing. Surprisingly the best pizza outside of Italy! All in all: The nicest five days during a three week stay. This is the place to come back to.

My wife and I have just returned from our 3rd stay at le Lagoto of 20 days. Once again we felt totally at home in this peaceful and beautiful resort we have come know so well and love. Seti of course, always the perfect host with his courtesy and incredible knowledge. Two young men who waited on us in the restaurant I must mention Paulu and Mare and Uga who were always attentive and eager to please. Nothing was ever too much trouble and when we needed more milk and coffee or tea in the fale a telephone call to reception was responded to within a couple of minutes. The beach perfect with excellent swimming and snorkelling at all tides which is a plus as in some resorts the beaches are not nearly as beautiful especially at low tide. Also the fresh water pool is clean and well serviced daily and refreshingly cooler after the much warmer sea The tropical breakfasts of fruits and toast and fesh juice are lovely as indeed other restaurant food including the lobster incredibly cheap by NZ standards. A new asset to the bar is the availability of Vailima beer on draught as well as bottled. The Pizzas a few metres from the resort now run by Heidi the daugther of Le Lagoto's owner Kuki is a tasty alternative to the restaurant with free delivery to ones Fale at the resort. Such a wonderful holiday in a beautiful resort with such wonderful attentive and friendly staff we can't wait to return for our 4th stay in 2012. Highly recommended. Thank you so much Kuki, Sarah, Gabriella and the staff. May God Bless you all.
