“Peaceful and relaxing but way overpriced.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2011

My family and i stayed at this resort during the school holidays, it was quite nice and relaxing, but for what we got, we thought it was quite expensive. We were on the meal plans and at 66 usd per day we found it expensive, as the selection was not extensive, and the meals were the same every night. The fia fia night was quite good, it was a buffet, but besides that most things on the menu were the same. The beach is first class and the snorkelling great. The customer service was satisfactory, but at times trying to work out a couple of issues i had with the meal pans, the staff really made it confusing, this was sorted out but it took at least 3 days, and i was getting different answers from various staff daily.Th highlight of our stay was meeting Seti, the most hospitable person i have ever met, his terrific stories, his excellent customer service and his true warmness made this holiday enjoyable, if it was not for him, we think we would not have enjoyed ourselves that much. Overall it was good but not great, a few improvements needed as what they need to realise is that the customer is paying approx $370.00 per night including meals, and the service should really match this.

We travelled through Savaai with my husband, 14 year old son and my uncle whom we picked up from Apia. We didnt book any accomodation as we just wanted to freestyle our trip after reading mixed reviews on trip advisor. We came across Le lagoto resort which was very clean with beautiful views of the sea. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was air conditioned with cooking facilies and lounge and tv. This also included a tropical breakfast and a 15 minute back massage.

Overall it was good and the service from the staff was great, but would have been nice if the tv worked and the massage lady was available for a massage, which was included in the price. The entertainment was cancelled, I suspect it was due to being low season therefore not many guest were there, but still we would have liked to experienced the Samoan culture through their cultural dances.

On the whole, it was a nice, clean resort with good service but just some things to look at for future travellers.

We had a group of 5 adults staying at Le Lagoto for 4 nights, we booked Jim's house which worked out perfectly, two bedroom house with a sofa lounge in the living area. Very private, roomy house with two bathrooms. Our view from the balcony was amazing. The grounds at Le Lagoto is absolutely beautiful, as was the beach area in front. Situated in a sleepy little village, you'll find yourself spending lazy days by the pool watching the sun go by with cocktail in hand. The staff were great, especially Seti who was our tour guide, who made the tour very enjoyable. The Staff surprised me with a birthday cake at our picnic spot during our day trip. A total surprise for me, I was touched by their gesture. We also did a Intro dive with Fabianne who owns Savaii Dive across the road from Le Lagoto, couldn't of asked for a nicer person to be our instructor. Thoroughly enjoyed our first dive experience. Food was good enough, I enjoyed bbq nite(Sunday nites), we also tried the Pizza's from down the road for dinner one evening, very nice and reasonably priced. Overall we had a fantastic time at Le Lagoto and would absolutely go back again! Malo Cookie!!

We stayed at Le Lagoto from the 28th of Dec 2010 til 2nd jan 2011 and we loved every minute of it. We were there attending a family reunion & a saofa'i ceremony for one of our family members. When we arrived I was in awe the set up was beautiful, the location was spectacular & the staff were amazing!! Their service was by far the best compared to aggie greys hotel & resort very approachable and friendly. We had a staff member pick us up from the mulifanua wharf and escort us on the boat to salelologa and then we all rode out to Le Lagoto in the resorts van. the shop across the road had everything you needed & the prices were ok not too bad. The room has the best air con and cools the whole room, its very spacious and the bathroom is nice aswell. Le Lagoto definitely made our trip a good one and we would certainly go back to visit :) We highly recommend this to anyone who is planning to visit. Seti, Toe, Tee and the rest of the team will take good care of you :D We have returned home with all items nothing went missing and mozzy bites free too. We are looking forward to heading back in 2012 & 2013 for our family reunions :) Le Lagoto will see us again soon.

What a charming spot! I was crazy about the dining area and the lovely views over the beach....very romantic and gorgeous.

Ceti our tour guide who worked at the hotel was a delight. He filled us in on all the legends and stories of Savai'i. What an amazing island!! My advice would be to head to this island as soon as you can as it's very untouched and the water colour is stunning.

The food was good and the fales very comfortable. A small and elegent boutique hotel.

Le Lagoto resort was the best place we stayed in Samoa by far. We stayed in Apia at the Insel and Aggie's resort and it far exceeded both these hotels. The food was fantastic, the fale we stayed in was beautiful and the location was spectacular.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We were there for the Fia Fia night which had a big feast and dancing which was wonderful. The taro leaves in coconut cream was my favourite dish. Being vegetarian the restaurant had great options and was housed in an amazing fale right on the beach.

Sekia pizza a few doors down run by Andy and his lovely wife was also great. They made great pizzas and were absoultely lovely people. They also delivered to our room! Wow!

Overall, an amazing place right on the water with a coral reef, beautiful accomodation in the beachfront fale and a great var and restaurant. Also very convenient location in Fagamalo Village with a convience store and dive shop where we hired snorkels, across the road and Sekia pizza a few doors down.

Can't wait to go bak to paradise!

This is the best place to stay in Samoa bar none.
We moved here from aggie greys after we were totally disappointed with many aspects of Aggies.

Its worth visiting Samoa just to go on the one day tour that Le Lagoto puts on with Ceti.
I have been on a lot of tours around the world put on by hotels, but this one stands out as the best ever. Ceti took us to many more places than was listed on the itineray telling many local legends on the way with so much pride and passion.

He constantly pulled the tour van over to stop at roadside stalls where he bought us all fresh fruit and produce to sample as well as meeting some of the locals.

The beach at Le Lagoto as world class, the swimming and snorkling is unmatched in samoa and many parts of the world. From the hotel loungers, we saw turtles, large fish, small sharks and dolphins.

I would go back to samoa just to stay here again.
