It sits just off the road a short 20-30 meter walk from the parking lot leads you to the side of the canyon (there is a fence) from where you can view the falls. There is of course a charge ,I think it was 10 tala. The "owner" told us there is water year round. As two other falls we had visited that day were dry we were pleased. Simple and easy to get to , just do it.

Thank ardom

Lovely and refreshing up a little track, paid our 10 tala and had a lovely quick dip. Nothing else here but very pretty and when we went very quiet..we were only ones here.

This is an easy drive from town and pretty well signposted. The waterhole is just the right size and the temp was refreshing but pleasant,

The day we visited was after two days of non stop torrential rain and falls were "going off" there was no way you were entering the water for a swim but spectacular none the less.

Even though this is billed as a waterfall, we found the jumping hole experience to be more fun than just the sight. Bring your swim gears.

We visited in Sept 2018 and most reviews said all the other waterfalls in Samoa had no water however Afu Aua had plenty of water for us to have a swim. It’s a beautiful spot however I wish they wouldn’t let you drive your car right up to the falls- it wrecks the atmosphere a little.

This waterfall has received rave reviews so we felt it was a must do.

Five tala per person entry which is good value.

The waterfall was flowing nicely which made the pool below absolutely perfect.

We spent a solid hour here paddling around in the fresh water. After that time, it got a bit crowded with a few other visitors joining us - not quite as enjoyable when there’s too many people there.

Definitely a must do while in Savaii.

We were fortunate to have the falls to ourselves. Beautiful and peaceful. The best waterfalls in Samoa that we visited. Clear, clean fresh water.
Take a picnic and have a swim. There are toilets/change facilities beside the track.
A 4WD is best for Samoa roads but smaller vehicles seem to make it to the most impassable places.
The 5 Tala per person charged by the local land owners is well worth the fee.

Afu Aau waterfall is not the biggest of waterfalls, but beautiful, and in my opinion the best in Samoa.

We went early in the morning and were fortunate enough to have the place to ourselves. Its tranquil, clean, and great for a swim (not as cold as I expected). I really could have spent longer there. I’d recommend taking a picnic, and spending a couple of hours. This was one of our favourite stops in Savaii.

nice swimming hole at base of main falls, rocks to jump off into pool. Car park is right at falls. 5 tala per person entry. further smaller falls and cascades below the main falls, also with swimming opportunities. Road in is ok but difficult to pass other vehicles so take it slow. Access road into falls is tricky to spot, it's right next to the bridge on the main road
Reef walkers were handy but not essential, as the lava rock can be tough on feet
