“Scary but fun”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

So I'm already scared of heights but this freaked me out. Not only is it high, but when I started walking across, I realised that what you are walking on is basically a metal ladder laid down on top of planks of wood... not so good for those who are scared of heights!

I made it across with the encouragement of the young man who was leading us and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

It is not as sophisticated as the tree canopy walks I have tried before, but the views and experience are worth the money. if you need to visit the toilets though, it's worth trying to hold on as the toilets are in dire need of a clean - and they don't flush.

Kids loved it, adults loved it so I guess this gets the thumbs up!

“Fantastic”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We found this place awesome.
From the spiral staircase made by the Italian's to the wooden staircases made by the Samoan's. (Not sure that NZ's OSH would approve) When we thought we were high on the swing bridge, only to find out we were amazingly high once we got to nearly the very top of the tree!!!
The guide was lovely and even took our picture for us at the top.
We paid 20tala pp for the Canopy Walk, Moso's Footprint and the House of Rock
This walk is just off the road by about 5 mins

“Great experience”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Guide was very informative and relaxed. The place would probably benefit from a bit more eco-information such as plaques on the various trees & bushes to give a better idea of what people are looking at. There are a few legends about this area as well so the opportunity to discover these could only add to the value. This place really has some potential.

The engineering was classic. Lovely view from platform.

Well worth the tala.

Moso's footprint on the other hand was pretty lame.

“Great trees, climb & view”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

A bit of a challenge getting here without your own transport - we hitched. The rubbish dumped at the entrance of this walk was a real turn-off in what is supposed to be a natural area of Savai'i forest - especially with the custodians sitting at the entrance! A few hours work would eliminate this eyesore.........
