Excellent place for campers and camper vans. Tons of space for large groups so much so that you do not feel cramped and can have a little slice of paradise to relax in.

There are rooms available, a awesome common room with a kitchen and fire place. A great grill (BBQ) and HOT showers!

A huge thank you to Sue and Marc for their hospitality and expert advice on what to do in the area!

Room Tip: Perfect for overlanding groups,

"Sustainable tourism is tourism attempting to make as low impact on the environment and local culture as possible, while helping to generate future employment for local people. The aim of sustainable tourism is to ensure that development brings a positive experience for local people, tourism companies and the tourists themselves." Sue and Marc have done an incredible job at this with Hosteria Pequeno Paraiso. I have not met anyone more passionate about the local environment, people or local culture than these two in all of my travels in South America. Not to mention, the beds are SOOOOOOO comfortable and Sue's cooking SOOOOOOO GOOD! (You must try her brownies!!) They know the town, restaurants, shops, spas, hikes, & expeditions better than anyone and have a passion for supporting the local businesses.
Whether you are in Banos to relax in the hot springs, local spas in town,(ask Sue for spa recomendations!! She will not steer you wrong. If you are there with someone special go for the couple's massage!) or for adventure, (Marc can take you on a canyoning expedition that will blow any other operator's out of the water!) this is the place to be!!!

We spent a fantastic week with Sue and Marc in this little piece of heaven in the cloud forest. Humming birds and Red Squirrels were regular visitors. Food was great, service was second to none, rooms were comfortable and bright - Plenty to do nearby without travelling to Banos - Waterfalls, Trout Farm, Canyoning, The Empanada shop in Rio Verde. My wife and I were both very sad to leave.

We stayed 2 nights (originally it was just going to be one). Sue and Marc's place was just what we were looking for, out of town, but still accessible, quiet and in a beautiful setting. Fabulous hiking in the area, topped off with Sue's great cooking. We felt really welcomed, after travelling for a month in Ecuador this had to be our favorite place. Great dogs too!

We spent 3 nights at pequeno paraiso with Sue and Marc and had a great time. The home cooked meals reminded us of home and Sue and Marc were more that happy to give advice about the local area. It is very easy to get into town, the bus costs 50c and they come past very frequently. We spent one day canyoning which is a must do if you are staying here, all in all we had a great time and would highly recomend this property to anyone looking for a relaxed and fiun stay in the area.

I stayed here for the last 2 weeks and wowe, what a place!! Sue and Marc have done an incredible job with it and the surroundings are to die for. The restaurant/common area is nicely decorated making it a friendly, sociable place to sit and relax out of the sun. Sue and Marc are very lucky as they have the most beautiful surroundings, and what lovely people they are, along with their 2 gorgeous dogs! The people in the area are very friendly and welcoming and I was set up to do some adrenaline-filled activities which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend staying here to anybody looking for a fun-filled holiday, as well as those just wanting to relax and take in the views of the cloud forest. Thanks Sue and Marc, it was an incredible 2 weeks!!!!!

Room Tip: There are some gorgeous rooms for those not wishing to camp, but there is also a very large space to...

we stayed at pequeno paraiso for 2 of the best weeks of my life. The surroundings were gorgeous, the company was amazing, and the activities were excellent. when we were there, Sue and Marc organised for us to do certain adventure activities, such as canyoning, bridge swinging, with many more available. sue is a sensational cook, delivering us with exquisit food. I had such an amazing time. would defiantly like to go again, and would advise anyone that wants a fun, chilled, exciting time in ecuador to go Pequeno Paraiso....
