I came to Cafe Rico Pan for breakfast twice, and wished that I was staying in Banos longer so that I could keep coming back! The interior is bright, spacious, and welcoming, and a nice place to spend a bit of time alone or chatting with a friend at the beginning of the day. They have several types of breakfasts to satisfy both the fruit/granola lovers and the eggs/bacon lovers. I had Desayuno No. 1, which came with fruit, yogurt, granola, a croissant, a fresh dense bun, jam, freshly squeezed juice, and coffee - all for $3. The choices for juice are endless, but I highly recommend the guanabana. And the coffee... to die for. The server comes around with a pitcher of coffee in one hand and hot milk in the other and mixes the two in your cup - easily the best joe I've had in Ecuador. Try it out!
