“Fresh fresh fresh”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

A wide range of food from different ethnic backgrounds served by friendly staff. Salads are amazing. A good atmosphere is a big part of the experience. Because of its popularity there is a bit of a wait after placing your order.

“Healthy, fresh and delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We had just arrived in Banos from Quito where we struggle to find good healthy food, and headed straight for this place. I had the best falafel plate ever, and the sandwiches are excellent. Really reasonably priced and professional service. Our server (David) was very nice and friendly. Please open a restaurant in Quito!!! We also ate at Café hood while we were there-I assume they are related because the food was also good and they had a similar menu, but I preferred Casa Hood.

“Delicious food in pleasant cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014 via mobile

We found Casa Hood in the Lonely Planet and after eating there once, we ended up back there two more times!

The food is delicious, fresh and healthy. I'm a vegetarian which can be difficult in South American countries, but the wide and varied menu here gave so many options for everyone, vegetarian or not.

If you like falafels, the falafel plate is yummy!

“Tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

I enjoyed Casa Hood. They have options that you don't find in most places through out Ecuador. They have a great variety of Mexican, Thai, Mediterranean, and plenty of other options. My husband and I both order the Pad Thai, and enjoyed it quite a bit! The sauce could have been thicker, but it was still tasty and a nice treat. We also enjoyed the brownies a lot! We didn't participate, however they do have a movie showing each day at 4:30 in English which I thought was neat. I'd definitely like to visit again and try a few of their other menu options. The only thing I'd advise is that the service (like others have said) is not very quick, but that probably has to do with the variety of items they have on their menu (it's not like ordering set Ecuadorian lunches!) and the prices are not Ecuadorian, but what do you expect.

“Best Food So Far”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

This is the best restaurant I have found in my 2 weeks in Ecuador. The service is reasonably fast (for Ecuador) and the food is very tasty and healthy, plenty of choice. Once criticism (minor), they could put more fruit in their Jugos... it was pretty weak, but they were forgiven for the quality of the meals.
