The Beagle Channel (named after the ship that Charles Darwin sailed around the world in) is a natural channel that connects the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean. The channel is dotted with islands that are home to sea lions, penguins and many other species of birds and flora. There are multiple tour operators that will take you for excursions. We did a tour with Tres Marias who stop at Alice Island to view the sea lions and then go to H-island. H-island is a nature reserve the Tres Marias has the rights to visit but also the obligation to protect.
Our other tour was with Pira who are one of the few tour operators that actually take zodiacs to an island so you can walk amongst the penguins.
