“Worth the walk! Great view!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

he Martial Glacier is very beautiful! The mountains still have snow in summer! It's worth the effort to climb to the top and enjoy the view. You can see Ushuaia the top of Glacier. You will walk through the snow in midsummer, is awesome!

“Fun and active day trip”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The glacier is work a visit. You can go by taxi and chairlift or hike from town. The actually glacier is a very long, difficult hike, the the area around it where you go with the chairlift is beautiful and you can do as little or as much hiking as you want.

“Very Beautiful!”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

It´s a must do ride in Ushuaia!
The ride with the lift is very beautiful especially on the way down. They have a nice cafeteria on the base of the lift.
I sugest for those who like trekking, take a snack and walk in the mountain.
For those who like snow, even the summer you can get some snow not far from the lift station.
I really recommend this ride.
The only issue is that they close the lift at 4 o´clock in the afternoon, so if you´re planning to go and walk around it I sugest to go in the morning.

“Glacier Where ??”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

After coming from Chile and cruising through the Magellan Straits and the fantastic glaciers there, the Martial Glacier was extremely disappointing. it looked like and area of ice that just does not melt. The chair lift ride was good and it did snow while we were there so that was OK

“Great view with a short hike”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

A popular hike but well worth if you just want to walk a small distance to be in a real mountain atmosphere and enjoy a great view. Of course you can walk until the top but not on the glaciar itself. Despite being small it is still a glaciar and can be dangerous. If you take the path on the right hand side you won´t have problems but always check the weather as it can turn bad and very stormy quickly!
