We stayed 6 days in Ushuaia, so we went to many restaurants and I can say this one was the best! It looks expensive from the outside, but the dishes are so well prepared that the ratio quality/price is very good! The restaurant is beaufitul and has a nice view of the city!

I had the "Raviolón Rosé" (home mande ravioles, filled with pink salmon, and on the top shrimps, cherry tomatoes and smoked salmon). It melted on my mouth! Delicous food and presentation, a really chef cuisine! We shared a tiramisu for dessert, also very good.

There are few tables, so you´d better make a reservation.

Maria Lola was literally cattycorner to our digs at an Hostel Ahnen apartment, and after reading many disappointing reviews of the top restaurants in Ushuaia, we decided to try this place. Our reservation (unnecessary) at 8:30 pm guaranteed us a table with an amazing view over the harbor at sunset. The first course of calamari was good, especially when accompanied by a Beagle artesinal half pint of beer. Fresh rolls were delicious, made even better by the accompanying Tsitziki-like sauce. The sea bass with roasted pepper sauce was the best fish dish, with the grilled salmon a close second. My husband said the Lomo Sueno in red wine was the best meat that he has had in South America or maybe ever... The vegetarian in the group loved the gnocci, and we all had to help him finish it. Tiramisu was ok, but the brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and chocolate sauce was truly exquisite. The entire meal including a bottle of wine was around US $150-such a deal! I would highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, view, and excellent waitstaff. A tiny suggestion would be to change the background music... We were there for less than 2 hours and were going on round 3 of the same songs...

Go early for good seats! Very popular restaurant with a beautiful view over the bay and city is easily reachable by foot -- maybe four blocks. Our females judged the pastas excellent and the salads good. The guys were happy with the beef or guanoco -- we weren't sure. Dessert!!! Wow!!!
