We stayed for two days. Gabriel was very friendly and made us feel at home. They help us plan our trips with accurate informational and instructions and prepared for us food for 5:30 am departure ! . The hotel is clean with very pleasant ambiance and a lot of character. We loved the place and recommend it to who prefer unique small places

it's about a 10 minute walk from main area of hotel and restaurants. Great views around the hotel, but the town is small enough that views are good everywhere from town.

The breakfast room offers a stunnign location overlooking the lake. Sunrise at 8am in Early April was beautiful. The rooms are nice, good shower. Free Wifi. The location is away from the main street/town. Which I liked. The staff were happy and helpful.

This is nice B&B, and the service was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was on the smallish side - but fit us in, and both our bags with no problems. As for the location, its situated close to the lake, and it was about a 15 - 20 minute walk to the main street, which was a dark walk back after enjoying the lovely wine and food El Calafate has to offer, so we sometimes got a quite cheap taxi back. If I were to visit El Calafate again, I'd probably stay a little closer the the main street.

The breakfast, like most we encountered in Argentina, was a mix of breads, cakes and dulce de Leche - some healthier options might have been nice.

Spent 3 nights here when we went to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. Very clean and the staff are very pleasant. Breakfast was good and for additional cost could get eggs, which was nice for a change. They also offer an evening meal, set menu, which we opted for one night. Just like a great home made meal. Good variety of wine available.

Nice relaxing lounge area. Breakfast area overlooks the nature reserve, nice walking area there. Also free WIFI.

The owner speaks english and is very knowledgeable of the area and town. Most of the staff also spoke english. Nice location, about a 10 minute walk to the downtown.

The hotel kindly kept our luggage while we went off for a 5 day hike in southern Patagonia. Also allowed us to stay in the lounge area on our return while waiting for a flight even though we weren't staying there that night. Also offered a room where we could shower. Would definitely stay here again.

The room (ours had twin beds) was one of the nicest of all hosterías and hostels where we stayed in Patagonia, and it was quiet. However, there was no TV in our room (while there was one at all other accommodations that we had except in the national parks) and the TV in the common room apparently wasn't working either. Breakfast was quite the basic fare that you normally get in Patagonia. From the breakfast room you can see across the Laguna Nimez bird sanctuary and Lago Argentino.
It was a bit hard to find (we were travelling by car) as there were no directions/signposts, not even to Laguna Nimez. We did expect to get offered a glass of wine and a snack upon arrival, but this didn't happen. Well, that's not an issue, they don't offer this at other accommodations, but then they should not advertise this on their website! The staff was nice but they were not able to make a phone call for us to reconfirm our flight.

I am more than disappointed about the stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Hosteria. We booked it because of the website which is more than deceiving. Don't trust the pictures on the website this is not a luxury hotel or Hosteria or anything close to it.

They are advertising on their website and in their confirmation that they offer every night a glass of wine and snacks with it. The first night they didn't offer us anything and the second night we came back to the hotel I had to ask for it and than we received a glass of wine and a snack (which wasn't great). Since when do you have to ask for something like that if they offer it on their website ..?

The rooms are very average and there are not even able to put something in the wall to fix the curtains instead they just put two chairs against the curtains to prevent them from closing.

The breakfast was a total joke. The rolls were the tiniest rolls I have seen in my entire life.

The staff is nice but it still doesn't make this a better hotel. The common area is a little messy with papers and CD's flying around.

The location is a little far from downtown and you have to walk 10-15 minutes to get there. The Hotel is not right on the lake! You can see the lake but you still have to look over some messy backyards of other houses.

I honestly can say that this hotel is a dump and there are definitely better options in El Calafate. So don't waste your money here stay somewhere else.
