“Lovely for drinks”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We never ate at this place as we went in for a morning drink but the drinks we had were really nice. The cafe con crema was lovely and the jugo exprimida was cold and sweet. We went back the next day to ask about a football game that they might possibly show that afternoon and they were accomodating, trying to see if it was on Argentine TV (which sadly it wasnt). Both the people we spoke to were friendly and very welcoming.

“Worst is impossible!”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

I just arrived in Calafate traveling by van and my first stop was in Pietro´s Café. I got in with my laptop because there was a wifi sign outside and I asked a place to plug. When I arrived in the table the waiter just came and told me. Order and pay in mandatory in a bad mood.
I left and I am now having a beer and a empanada in Libro Bar in the other side of street. Some bad things happens for one reason...

“Fair experience - great for wifi use”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We didn't find this place anything special. It was nice to grab a pizza but the local beer, chopen, is pretty bad. It was also pretty cold in the restaurant as the door didn't close all of the way. We did have cappuccinos and they were ok. The wifi was nice as our hostel was lacking.

“Family run, comfortable, clean, attractive, good food, convenient”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Owned and operated by a local former race driver and his family, the place is very atractive decorated with race memorabilia and antiques. The menu offers tasty pizza, empanadas, sandwiches, meals, drinks, chocolate, juices, beers, with music and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Wifi, music and a large TV. You can sit outside, weather permitting. The only drawback were the bathrooms, which coule be larger. We enjoyed the feeling of a true quality place for locals.

“Good place to relax and have a coffee”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

If you don't have an activity planned in El Calafate, like hiking a glacier or going to an Estancia, you find yourself with some awkward downtime. The town is pretty bleh. But Pietro's turned out to be a nice place to hang out, read, have coffee or a beer and catch up on emails. The vibe is really nice and they actually play decent music. We didn't eat, but their food looked pretty good.
