nice hotel with great amenities and decent rooms in the middle of town. It is so expensive to get to Calafate, that it is good to save some money but still be confortable and close to the main street.

This quiet, charming hotel was the perfect place to relax after a day of touring the glaciers. Terrific spa / pool and restaurants. VERY helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were sufficient at best. Location was perfect as you can walk to everything you'd like to do in town.

Room Tip: Take a look at a few different rooms before you settle on one. They vary greatly.

The hotel looks beautiful on the outside. The rooms are ok - worn looking and the bathrooms are poorly constructed. After every shower the bathroom flooded (no idea why) and stayed wet for hours afterwards due to poor drainage. The restaurant la posta is amazing. The hotel is so so. Three star at best. The service is slow and not super helpful or friendly. Good location. Bottom line - The hotel is not worth the price.

Posada Los Alamos is a wonderful place to stay - two blocks distant from the main street, with great infrastructure and welcoming staff. Rooms were beautiful and although full, breakfast was always well served. There is a golf camp (beautiful), indoor pool and a spa. Too bad there were not schedules available to experience it.

This is one of the best places to stay when traveling to El Calafate, its wonderful location close to downtown, the friendliness of the staff caring, facilities and services, as well as the room make this a good place to start the crossing the Patagonia Argentina. La piscina, el sauna y en general los servicios del area de spa logran relajar a quien hace uso de los mismos.

Room Tip: Excelento location, large rooms with wonderful view

Friendly, attentive and very helpful staff. Loved the site, with six hole golf park and putting green (clubs are available), a lovely pool, hot tubs, spa, sauna, and great breakfast buffet. As a family, we shared a triple room with extra bed, which was a little cramped for four. The concierge helped organized the excursions, the restaurant staff were very helpful with our food restrictions, the reception staff were attentive. Facilities are very clean. Comfortable lobby area for sitting around, reading, waiting for the excursion bus. It is a very short walk to the main street (three blocks).

Accommodation was fine and food was excellent. Susan and I didn't have any problems with the split site (four separate buildings for accommodation, food, spa and conferencing[?]), as the weather was good, but could envisage problems if the weather was inclement. We did find it annoying that we had to open our bedroom window and hold our 'phones, iPads etc. out of the window to receive wifi, and we couldn't make any Face Time or Skype connections from any point in the hotel.
Our trip to Argentina was disappointing in only one respect; the food. However the best food we had during our long trip was the evening meals that we had here. We thoroughly enjoyed them.
The bars and restaurant - particularly the one above the spa - are very good and we took pleasure in using them. Likewise the spa was very good, although we were unable to use any of the treatments because our busy trip schedule meant that there were no slots available when we were on site.
When we first arrived the hotel was very quiet, but on our penultimate day a party of 130 Canadians appeared on a junket/motivational trip from a 'large multinational company'. It meant that our breakfast on our last morning was literally heaving with very noisy people who had to fill their plates to overflowing, so that took a bit of the shine off.
That said, the hotel was good and the trips that we took to the glaciers, Christina, and the icebergs were fantastic, so we'd stay there again.
