My wife and I had a very nice stay at Kosten Aike in November. The hotel two blocks off the main street near the center of town. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the lobby and common areas are exceptionally pleasant. We found the staff to be quite helpful and attentive, and the rooms clean and bright. The hotel seems to be a popular destination for bus tours, so don't be surprised by large groups checking in and out occasionally. However, the staff is very efficient and this didn't present any problems for us. We would certainly stay at Kosten Aike if we find our way to El Calafate again.

We just spent 3 nights here, the service was great, friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and a good size. It had a great bed. The hotel had great location only two blocks from the main street. It was quiet and had a nice lunge and lobby. Highly recommend to anyone. Cannot go wrong staying here. Wish we would have stayed longer in El Calafate.

This is a wonderful hotel from the minute you step inside. It is well located, in a quiet part of town and a two minute walk to the main street. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. The rooms are large and comfortable. Although the gym was small the equipment and steam room all worked, and there was a staff member on hand for any requirements you may have. We liked the fact that there was space to relax in other than your room, and our teenagers enjoyed playing snooker and ping pong!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is in an excellent location. It sits on a quiet street but convenient enough to get to the main street. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. They let me check-in for my flight back home and print my boarding passes using their computer. You couldn't ask for better service!

The hotel has big and comfortable room and an excellent restaurante. On top everybody was extremely helpful. They even gave us a free "pack lunch" to take to one of our tours. Very good location also.

We really like this place. Had a large top floor room overlooking the courtyard so noise wasn't an issue for us. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had spent much of the day at the Moreno glacier waiting for the ice bridge to collapse. It didn't. Back at the hotel we tuned in the Moreno Glacier Cam on the bar TV and had some drinks and waited some more. The staff arranged some tables in the bar and let us order dinner there in front of the TV so we could continue watching. Very helpful. The bridge ruptured at 4 am so we didn't get to see it, but we had fun.

Room Tip: try to get one at the back of the hotel

i wrote a previous review about this EXCELLENT hotel based in my experience as a group leader for US travelers but now i am here with my family (girls of 4 & 7)! i am in room 305 and it is just perfect for a family with 2 kids regarless of their age! There are not many places in Calafate where to keep kids entertained if weather is not on our side but at the Kosten Aike we have a huge back garden with green grass & flowers and inside a playing room with A PING PONG table, BILLARD and an argetine METEGOL! if this is not enough they have a conference room that if not being used they can show movies at night!!! PARADISE for PARENTS!
