“go see the ice-bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2012

I did not see the ice-museam but went for the ice-bar. 30 minutes al you can drink in a minus 10 degree atmosphere with special coat and gloves. The cups you drink out of are made of ice. I came out a little borracho...

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

Well we got most of this from our excellent guide to the glacier. Once you have added the cost of the coach from town, the entry fee and then the fee for the ice bar it is extremely expensive. There is a huge amount of writing and when we were there it was difficult to hear some of the english commentary and it was not busy

“An attraction not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

A must is a visit to the Ice Bar. The Glaciarium provides an interesting and educational experience. in addition to the ususal exhibits, there are movies and videos that are an explanatory and interesting history and analysis of glaciers and the men who explored and studied them.

“A good intro to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2012 via mobile

We stopped here on our first day in El Calafate as our mini-trekking trip was not scheduled until the following day, and we were pleasantly surprised by the glacial information contained here. They have several entertaining videos and displays showing the extent of glaciation around the world and it really got us ready for our trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier the following day. Unfortunately, we did not go to the ice bar. As a side benefit, the Glaciarium's location outside of town allowed us to feel the full brunt of the Patagonian wind as it was truly howling that day. All in all, definitely worth a visit if you have time.

“Its interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

Not that you can't like without it, but the Ice Museum is VERY interesting, informative... The ice bar is ok, very touristy, but its fun if youre with friends. I went by myself, so it wasnt so great. But still cool. Just don't exchenge an outside trip for that.
