We were told it's open only for dinner, and despite a cold drizzle we trudged to it. And I am glad we did, for we had a wonderfully relaxed meal. Don't get mistaken by its antiquated exterior, it's really very cosy inside with a great music and view of the lake.We had their signature pumpkin soup and lasagne. It offers great vegetarian options, a good change after the meats one gorges on when in Argentina.

Thank Pahari

We decided to try out Pura Vida since our hotel owner suggested that it would be a good place for a vegetarian to try out. The first night , we decided to try our luck at Pura Vida but it was packed & had a 30 minute wait. But since we liked the decor & the smells originating from the kitchen, we decided to go back the next day for an early dinner. The food is great but obviously not catered to small eaters. The stew is highly recommended. Overall, its very different from the places you would have eaten at before in Argentina right from the ambience, the decor, the food etc.

We ate here on recommendation and found the range of interesting dishes a welcome change to the parillas. My wife and I arrived around 9.30pm and were taken promptly to a table on the mezzanine floor overlooking the bar. We were left to make our menu choices for quite a while (20 mins) and having made them had a further twenty minute wait for the aforementioned bread to arrive (which strangely included an ear Whig which had hitched a ride!). My starter of empanadas was moorish and it was quickly followed by our hare stews, which were cooked well and served in a Parmesan gratin with baked potato and vegetables. The portion was hearty and the time was ticking on so we settled our bill (150 pesos- a starter, 2 main courses, 1 beer and 2 bottles of water) and took a taxi back to our hotel.
The service was the problem, not the food. They could do with a checking in system to help on that front.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and we were glad we went! The restaurant has a hippie feel and look to it, which created an excellent ambiance. They had a muscian playing while we ate and his music was great! The service was great. When the food came out I had thought I ordered way too much food but it turned out it was enough. I ordered the Lamb stew which was great! I highly recommend the stews! Overall you won't be disappointed.

We loved this place! The food was absolutely delicious. The Carbonada Zapallo (meat stew in a pumpkin) was fabulous! Wish we could go back!!
