“Great restaurant for meat and wine lovers!”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

Had a wonderful dinner - superb grilling, meats were perfectly prepared. A good wine selection of local wines. Not a place to go if you're vegetarian, this place is all about the meat. Capable and friendly service took care of our table attentively. Extremely reasonably priced, and highly recommended!

“Best steak ever”
Reviewed April 21, 2014 via mobile

So after years that i've been hearing about famous Don Alberto i finally got to Bariloche and checked out the wonder myself ...
And guess what - it is a wonder !!!! It's wonderful even :)
First you get tons of breads with some ChimiChurri sauce... Don't eat more than one - portions are BIG !!!
You can choose between Bife de Lomo and Bife de Chorizo and some more meats that are not really worthwhile mentioning. If you like your meat tender and melting in your mouth go with the Lomo (Tenderloin), if you like it more fat go with the Chorizo (Sirloin) which is also a great choice.
I went with the Lomo and a side dish of fries (you got an enormous amount of them). Asked the guy to cook it "al punto"... Now, important to know that al punto equals a lot of blood on the plate, i didn't quite know that so when i got the steak i sent it right back to the parrilla.
It came back after five minutes and it was the best steak i've ever had in my life, really really good - soft and tender.

Bottom line - when in Bariloche pay a visit to don Alberto... U won't regret it !!! :)

“Enjoyed this very popular parrilla”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Opening at 8pm on the dot, we arrived about 7:45 to join a small queue and no lights on inside. At precisely 8pm, the lights came on, the doors opened and guests poured in. We had a table for two and although it seemed geared for tourists, the atmosphere was a bit noisy and lively.
Service was quick, firstly from the meat cooks taking main orders and then from a waitress taking orders for drinks and extras. You can watch your meals being cooked on the bbq.
Our meal was served promptly and the steak was extremely generous and cooked to perfection. I must say it was probably the best steak I've ever eaten!
We enjoyed watching as much as eating. The large table next to us was occupied by about 12 Asians (Japanese?). They were going crazy with excitement, taking photos of the food etc. We watched them trying to use knives and forks and they weren't good at it - some picking up steaks in their fingers.
Definitely not an intimate dining experience, recommended for an excellent, well-priced meal.

“Best steak I had in Argentina”
Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

As above, on our first visit here we had the best steak (lomo) in 6 weeks in Argentina spanning 13 cities/towns. Ordered the same on our second visit, and while excellent, wasn't quite the standard of our first visit. In saying that, highly recommended!
