Hotel Tirol is a great choice for an economical hotel in Bariloche's downtown tourist area. The lake facing rooms have a nice lake view. The rooms are on the small side, but light and modern, very useable and pleasant. The staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is typical for Argentina, lots of sweet items, bread and toaster, some cheese, thin ham slices orange juice, tea, coffee. The location is great for walking the main tourist blocks and it's shops and... CHOCOLATE shops! For the economical price and outstanding quality of rooms and service I easily recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the main square. We had a small room on the top floor which gave us an excellent view of the lake. The problem was we were there in a very windy period which was also very cold and being on the top floor we could hear the wind whittling through the eves and the chimneys.
The breakfast room was large .and pleasant and the breakfast adequate. There was a problem with the arrangement of the furniture as some time you needed to walk right around the room to get to and from the buffet.
The staff was very pleasant and the young staff spoke very good English. There seemed to be a very family feel to the hotel. There were two small lounges near the front entrance.

Room Tip: Ask for room in the back to get a view of the lake

The view of the lake is spectacular, even if the view of the lake is around 100 pesos more. The location is awesome. One can rech everything in walking distance. The breakfast is reasonable, especially the croissants are great. The only disadvantage is the neighbourhood to the next hotel which apparently offers trips for highschool graduates who are singing at night.

Good location. Great View
We had a bit of a mix-up when we arrived - we had booked a room with a view of the lake - but it was sorted out efficiently and in a friendly manner. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. The location is particularly good - close to the main square (and its excellent tourist office) and the main street with the shops and restaurants. As always it was easy to find the blue $ and we got 9.3

Hotel Tirol is a great little hotel. Beautiful view thru huge windows. Nice sized room. Well modernized. Comfortable bed. Service was friendly and helpful in a variety of ways from recommendations to holding luggage after checkout. Breakfast room is lovely and big enough. Food was fine quality and sufficiently diverse for a free continental breakfast. Make sure to reserve a lake view room - only $10 more as I recall, and definitely worth it. A good location close to the central square and yet quiet. and a block off the commercial areas.

Room Tip: Request and pay to upgrade to a lake view
