We had the most wonderful time at El Casco hotel! The place is incredible, the art in the hotel rooms and common areas is outstanding. We also enjoyed the experience at the restaurant, great dinner and excellent wines. Staff was great and helpful too, we had the chance to meet the owners, and they were delightful, very fun to be around.
A must for anyone looking for a quiet getaway, in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

fantastic hotel ruined by cold insincere staff feigning interest( except the people supporting breakfast) If you can ignore the people and enjoy the surroundings this is the place for you. for us it was too big an ask. you nee to feel comfortable and welcome- casco doesnt do that at all.

I had been to Bariloche before, I had stayed where it was considered at that time the best hotel in Argentina (Llao Llao hotel), but the overall experience at El Casco surpasses anything you can imagine: impeccable and knowledgeable service, ample rooms, outstanding lake views, wonderful paintings and sculptures all around. Best place to go in amazing Patagonia!

Imagine staying at Ian Shrager's Delano, Clift or Mondrian in the middle of wonderful Patagonia. El Casco Art hotel is a mid size boutique hotel, located on the shores of Nahauel Huapi lake. Each room is dedicated to South American painter with original paintings hanging on your walls. The minute you look through the window, you can see the art, created by nature. Ceiling to floor windows displays the waves of the lake with hotel's boat and the panorama of Andes. The luxury doesn't end here, the hotel has great restaurant, spa with indoor/outdoor swimming pool and outdoor jackuzzi. El Casco is located only 15 minutes from top Argentinian ski resort - Cerro Catedral. You can get there by hotel's shuttle bus. Upon arrival to the ski station, you will be taken to El Casco lounge, where you can get a cofee or glass of wine after the day of skiing. Very friendly and dedicated staff will help you with any request. Everybody speaks good English.
This is a place where I will return and the only question is when.
