“Amazing views, excellent food and service... very lovely, relaxing place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2010

Arriving at Bellevue, after staying at a hostel in down town Bariloche, seemed like arriving in heaven! What a cosy place, with amazing views and beautiful gardens, leading all the way to the shores of Moreno lake.

We immediately felt at home in our spacious room, with balcony and more lovely views.

The afternoon tea (deliciously fried camembert with pear, a good bottle of wine and cakes you just can't resist with a nice cup of coffee) was as good as the breakfast (home made jams, croissants, brown bread and... Fresh mint tea from the garden!)

Last but not least: the service provided by Rolf was excellent! We felt pampered and at home, this place is the best value you can get, and more....

“Peaceful Location, Amazing Views with Gourmet Delicacies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2010

It's a well kept secret but the Bellevue Bed & Breakfast and Tea House is one of the most wonderful places to visit in the Bariloche neighborhood. Located in the Llao-Llao area and just a short drive from downtown Bariloche, the Bellevue is situated on Lake Moreno with amazing views of Mounts Tronador and Lopez. It is well-known to locals and some tourists who are fortunate enough to be told of its existence.

On a recent visit to Bariloche my tour guide Cristian Signorelli of Bariloche Gay Tours insisted that we went there for an afternoon visit, promising that I would not be disappointed. I wasn't sure about a “Tea House” but once there I realized why it is so popular. The house is situated on a 15,000 square meter estate perched high upon a hillside with perfectly manicured gardens and spectacular views.

One of the owners is a third generation German Pastry Chef and one bite of their baked delicacies proves this fact. The traditional cakes, brioche, scones, and sandwiches are always fresh from the oven. They also offer cheese, bread and wine---a new concept for tasting different cheese assortments--- smoked salmon with brioche bread, cream cheese, green salad, bread with tomatoes and smoked ham, plus Camembert fried or baked. Everything is available accompanied by a wide variety of Argentine wines.

They also offer an exceptional coffee, Nespresso, from an intense Ristretto to a soft Fienezzo. Plus many other kinds of beverages are available along with, of course, a grand selection of teas!

They are open every day from 16:00 to 22:00 hrs, except on Tuesdays, all year-round and every season the view is different but always magnificent.

Also available is a limited availability Bed & Breakfast for those who would like to wake up in the morning and enjoy the views or breakfast on the terrace.

This is one secret that should be whispered, spread around, and repeated to as many people as possible. A visit to Bellevue will be one of the incredible memories and photo opportunities of any visit to the Argentine Lake District. I know I will treasure that afternoon break recommended by my tour guide and I am thankful that he suggested the peaceful diversion during a busy day of sightseeing in Bariloche.
