“Excellent salads and pasta”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

The best, barring none salad in Bariloche. Also they use black pepper, a rare spice in Bariloche. Service lovely. Atmosphere elegant. Don't be put off by the hotel lobby next door. This is a stand alone restaurant with very reasonable prices.

“Pleasant beachside restaurant with good pasta”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014

After 10 days in Argentina we needed a break from the beef regime. Serena was recommended by our hotel and gave us a good meal in nice surroundings.

It´s a fairly small place, a few seconds off the main lakeside road about 12 KM from town. There is a good view over the beach and lake. Outside tables are available but it was too cold to use them on our visit.

We chose the recommended pasty which was both tasty and filling. Service was attentive.

It is a pleasant reasonably priced alternative to the mainstream restaurants in the area.

“Nice & cool joint in the beach, awesome food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

We've been here everytime we come to Bariloche, and never regret it. The place is warm and inviting, well served, and the food is great, famous chicken crepes are delicious and I had a wonderful trout. For lunch, you must be there at 1 p.m. if you don't want to wait

“Bad reservations systema and mediocre service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

Watch out! A place you should not visit during the high season. The owner does not take good care of reservations and if you are not lucky you still have to wait for a long time despite your reservation. The girls who take care of the service are very nice but when the place is crowded, there is not too much they can do to resolve the jam. The food is just ok.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

Bahia Serena was surprisingly elegant. I expected a beach joint, but its a lovely restaurant for dinner. We had ravioli, baked chicken, and gnocchi and everyone loved their dishes. This place was recommended to us by our boat tour guide as her favorite place, and we see why. It's a local place with good food and ambience.
