“Great trip, excellent fishing”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Argentina and I was lucky enough to get a day pass to spend some time fishing with Eugenio from Lagos & Rios. The weather was very poor near Bariloche and on the big rivers (rain and wind) so we headed East to a smaller river. We found some sun and had excellent fishing on the small stream and both caught a number of large rainbows. I hope to return some day soon!

“Exquisite fishermen guide”
Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

What makes a difference when you go flying fish is the guide, he must know all the spots of the river. Our guide Juan os the best, we love it him, nice adventure. I recommend to any friend. I will post picture later since the picture its on my brother camera.

Thank you John for taking ylur time to write us !!
As you know, all rivers are different. And Limay is not the exception. Actually Limay has been changing every 3 days in this month: water level, fishing spots, fishing techniques, and so on.
We need to be observers so to notice what´s going on it. Our goal is to do our best with our "guests". Thanks again for fishing with us. Eugenio Rivademar. Owner & Head Guide

“Ask to ensure you know what your getting”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

We did this excursion back in Nov. 2011 and it was not what we were expecting. Some background on our group of four, is that we are avid sea fisherman, but had never gone fly fishing before. So we know what it's like to go fishing and what it's like to rough it, but it's not like we were expecting to catch fish since it was our first time. We were expecting to be able to go out on the river with overalls and walk into the water and fish, but what we did was sit on a boat and cast towards the shore. If that's what your looking for then that's fine, but it's not what we were lead to believe when we purchased it. Lastly, I dont remember the exact cost of the excursion, but it wasn't cheap . Around $150 per person I believe. We would expect at that cost to at least get a decent lunch, but what we got was cold tasteless chicken ripped apart by the fishermans dirty hands and a potatoe salad. They have no real expenses as all the bait is artificial, the least they could provide is a bit better meal. No one is expecting a steak, but at least something besides old chicken. Anyways, suffice to say the tour operators were good guys, It just did not live up to our expectations especially considering the costs.

“Really cool fishing experience!”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

We were one day fishing on the floating boot on the limay river. it was a perfect day, the nature is so beautiful there and the trip was a complete success (all inclusive -> lunch was super!). Unfortunately we weren't that lucky with fishing, but still we managed to get some trouts. All in all it was a lot of fun, the guide (Eugenio) is super friendly, speaks spanisch and englisch and is very helpful.

“Amazing scenery and fishing!”
Reviewed February 1, 2012

My son and I were set on fly fishing in Argentina and this seemed to be the guide to do it with. We don't speak much Spanish so the fact that Eugenio spoke fluent English was an enormous plus. The scenery is unparalleled to other rivers which we have been fly fishing on. It is an entirely different experience than fishing out west in Montana or Wyoming. The river is crystal clear so fishing is extremely exciting as you can often see the trout you're trying to catch. Eugenio was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful guides that we have ever had, my son loved him and he was great to talk to. Apart from the great fishing, the trip would be worth it simply for the scenery, the lunch on the river bank, and Eugenio. If we return to Argentina to fish anytime soon we will definitely be in contact with him.

Hi Steven !!
And thanks for fishing with us in Manso river.
The journey was quite good. We invite you to fish other rivers as: Limay, PIchi Leufu, and San Martin de los Andes area with uncountless creeks and rivers to fish.
Hope to fish with you again in the future.
Eugenio
