“Very convenient choice”

In this place you can get the most value for your money. It was quite clean and the bedroom was pretty comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was great once you are told a little trick on how to open it. The room I stayed was too noisy for me, as it was in front of the house and the street is a busy one. Also, as the dining room and kitchen are so near, it could be difficult to relax. Hence, I would recommend to avoid this room (I think it was room #1) if possible. Another detail is that there weren't many sockets either in the room nor the bathroom. I stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned, and the towels were not changed. This can be a problem if you are staying many days. Breakfast is pretty poor.
The only way to access the rooms is going up a stair, so anyone with mobility issues should choose another place.
All in all, for less than 30 dollars per night, I think it is a great option.
The staff is very nice and helpful.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms near the front of the house.

On arrival, warm welcome from Stefania with a hot drink and some chocolate/dulce de leche cakes. Then she straight away tried very hard to sell us various trips around Bariloche. From the next day, as we were not interested in buying any of their expensive trips, Stefania and Bernado (husband) made very little effort to be friendly. The double room we had was very nice and comfortable but the bathroom had one of these horrible shower above the toilet. Not practical and very messy. We stayed 5 nights and the room was not cleaned once. We had to request fresh towels after 3 days. They advertised on their website that they have housekeeping: false. Breakfast was terrible. The worst we had during our 7 weeks travelling in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Every morning, we had tea or coffee, old stale toasted and cold slices of baguette, ration controlled thin slices of butter and a little bit of jam. That's all. Their website advertise fresh orange juice and home made bread: false. Another frustrating thing was that guests were not able to use the large guest table in the dining room (for exemple to write or eat or just to sit there to socialise with other guests) because every evening until late, Stefania and Bernado entertained friends and family at that place. So once you are in your room at Solar Antigua, you stay in your room and do not meet anybody (except during the dreadful breakfast). The hosts have an apartment on the ground floor of the house but they rather use the guest dining room upstairs. This B&B has a great potential but the management style and practices have to change. Also, get rid of these awful showers above the toilets! To finish on a positive note, Mamu, the labrador, is absolutely gorgeous!

Bernado just made you feel like there was nothing too difficult to request and did his very best to make you feel part of the family. Combined with the charm of Stefania, their most adorable son Camillo, and the sweet baby Paloma it was just like stying with nice relatives. The only drawback was the way the shower worked in our room - it drained to the furthest point in the bathroom. Nevertheless, we had a most lovely time here.

I am astounded that there aren't more reviews for this b&b. This was the best value of all the hostels/guest houses I stayed at in Argentina. I arrived unexpectedly 4 nights earlier than I had booked (the joys of south american airlines and volcano problems) and thank goodness they had room to take me early. The welcome was very warm and of the 'our home is your home' type. Bernado and Stephanie were incredibly helpful and of course Mamu the dog is a delight (and very laid back, quiet and unobtrusive, in case you are not a big fan of dogs). The rooms are spacious (I stayed in 3 altogether in my two visits to Bariloche and I'd recommend room 3 which was sunny and large and cute) and very comfortable and everything is spotless. Nice decor, simple but a cut above most places in that price bracket. The only area for improvement I could see would be the breakfasts, which are very basic and would perhaps benefit from a bit of juice or something, but that's being nitpicky. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, though I personally would recommend room 3, or for the quietest possible ro...

We had a great couple days here! We arrived on an overnight bus at 4:30am and they were happy to welcome us in the middle of the night! Owner's family lives on-site and are really nice, helpful people.

Room was really clean. Breakfast is only ok if you want to nitpick. I'd definitely stay here again!

Bariloche itself is beautiful. Our stay here was so great we extended it by 2 days. Great Place to stay. Mamu's Place is what it should be called. Mamu is the dog of the Hostel and so sweet. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had an apple tree right outside our window which was also a nice touch . Estephania was great help with activities. It felt so much like home we were not ready to leave.
