“Wonderful view, friendly hosteria”
Reviewed December 21, 2011

We arrived in the evening and randomly chose this hosteria after driving by. A great find! The hosteria has a wonderful view of the lake (from the breakfast room and our bedroom), friendly staff (who gave great recommendations on restaurants, advice on maps/routes for our road trip to Patagonia), and was good value for money. It was in a good location, 10mins walk to the restaurant area, and easy access for parking. We did not find it noisy at all. If it hadnt been for the afternoon hazy sky caused by the volcano (the mornings are fine), we would have liked to stay longer in Bariloche.

Only negative was that you had to pay to use the internet on hotel computers after the first 30mins (wifi is free however).

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view!

We stayed four nights here in mid-March in a double room with an expansive and everchanging view of the lake and mountains and thought it was great value at this between season time. It also has a great breakfast room with views across the lake. Staff were helpful (though change on a roster) and when we wanted to stay an extra night managed to organise it so we didn’t have to move rooms. Close enough to the centre of town to be walkable, computer for guest use in foyer plus WiFi in rooms, some parking available onsite.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a room with lake view

Hosteria Costas del Nahuel is just outsight the city centre of Bariloche (about 10 minutes walk) on the busy street to Llao Llao (in your room you can hear the traffic noise). The view on Lago del Nahuel is fantastic! You can see the lake in all his glory. The staff is very friendly and always there to help you (luckely the speak English). The rooms are a bit small, but hey.. there's the lake view.
Also it's very noisy in the hotel (you can hear what your neighbours are saying next door). Breakfast is normal and ok.
Good value for your money.

My sister and mother and I recently stayed at Costas del Nahuel and had a great experience. Firstly, the views from the hotel can not be beat - a huge, panoramic view of the majestic Nahuel Huapi frames the main room/breakfast room - a fantastic way to start each day. Many of the guest rooms also have this view. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Rooms are very simple but the beds are comfortable and each room is equipped with a clean bathroom, nice TV, and private phone. Room service comes each day to change linens and straighten up.
The best part about the hotel is the hospitality. Damian was fantastic! Every day he greeted our family with a smile and was more than accomodating when we asked for hot tea for the room, dinner recommendations, or assistance in planning daily excursions. He took good customer service to the next level.

The rest of the staff was very helpful, friendly, and bi-lingual. Breakfast was basic, but good & tasty & filling. The hotel also carries a menu of drinks and light meal options for other times of the day.

Overall a great experience in a good location (10 minute walk to Bariloche center; 2-3 minute walk from local bus) with helpful staff.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 kids, we had a fantastic room looking out over the lake - with a double and 2 single beds.

The hotel is very close to the centre (10 mins) and the staff are very kind and helpful. They are English speaking, if you need help!

The hotel is clean and modern, but small so has charm and character.

Breakfasts was cold buffet - the standard here, but they had chocolate for the kids to drink!

All in all a relaxed and very comfortable stay.

Stayed three nights as from 14th of November. We loved the view from the rooms and the location directly on the lake shore. It is a little family hotel (15 rooms) run well and have helping staff. Breakfest quite poor and rooms are average size. It is located abot 10 or 15 minutes walk from the town center. Price was average.(around 75$ per room per night)

Utterly speechless as I write this review. This hotel has everything you might want. The views are just amazing...you're right on the water. They have rooms with a full frontal lake view and seeing the sun rise in those huge windows was just surreal. They have breakfast included in an absolutely economical price.

I've read other reviews about how good the owner is. I had the good fortune of meeting a person named Damian who was the manager, not the owner. This person is truly amazing. You name it and he will get it done for you. Another person would come in during the evenings and he was a great guy too. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. I have no shortcomings to point out for this place.

Why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Bariloche is beyond me. This place offers the best value for money.
