We went to Bariloche for a 2 week Fashion Photo Shoot, we booked the entire hotel for our group of 22...I have produced shoots there before, but this Hotel turned out to be the most ideal place to stay, the location is stunning, just above the lake with the most spectacular views of the sunsets, the rooms are a dream - sauna, steam baths, heated floors throughout... Dining was a complete success - the food is extraordinary and the service as hospitable as it can get! The staff as well as the Proprietor, Alberto + Pocho (the live-in spectacular Dog) immediately became part of our family...I would go back in a heartbeat with or without a Production at hand. Simply CHARMING!!

My husband was working in Buenos Aires for a few weeks and we went to Bariloche for a weekend getaway. I used TripAdvisor to find Charming and SO happy that we stayed at the resort. We stayed in the Charming suite which had an in room sauna, steam room, hot tub overlooking the gorgeous lake and mountains, and other great amenities. The service was incredible and personalized.

Additionally, our two favorite meals in Argentina were both at Charming. They have amazing chefs that make homemade pastas and can cook a mean lamb! Can't wait to go back!

We are Americans living in Buenos Aires for work. We wanted to get out of the city for a week to relax, so we chose Bariloche for its natural beauty. I used TripAdvisor and a couple of other sites to narrow down my choices for lodging. I called two places before calling Charming, both of which were full. Thank goodness they were full, and thank goodness Charming had one room left. In retrospect I can't believe Charming was the third place I called. That error will never happen again.

The place is spotlessly clean, is brand new inside and out, and has a rustic elegance that makes you both feel like you are at home in the woods, and feel like you are in a 5-star place. The staff are incredible. By the time we left after 6 days they felt like family. My daughter drew them a picture, and was sad when one particular girl was not there for a hug when we left.

The view out the window each morning was spectacular. We saw more rainbows in six days than I've seen in the previous six years, not to mention falcons flying around and the sound of waves washing up on the shore of the lake.

We got in-room massages, were able to book activities simply by asking the staff... "Hey, we were thinking of doing activity X." A short while later the phone rings... "here are a few options we think you might like... we get a good price, and we can talk about which is best based on what you want to do..." These guys are pros at first-rate, concierge-style service. I didn't have to do a single internet search while I was there. I would just say... "we want to go on a nice boat trip today and see the forest." And when we came up after breakfast.... options presented, arrangements made. Awesome.

Our last day we checked out and left, and then our flight was delayed 5 hours. We came back, and they treated us with the same warmth as though we had never left... food, drink, and they took care of calling in to the airline to keep up on the status of our delayed flight so we could relax with the kids.

We're definitely going back to Bariloche as soon as we can, both to see the natural beauty again, and to stay at Charming. I would have been more effusive in my praise in this review, but I don't want the place to be booked full the next time I decide to go! If you pick someplace else I think you're crazy, but I thank you in advance for leaving space for me at Charming!

We chose Charming based on the raving reviews here at TA, and boy are we glad we did. From the moment we sent them our first e-mail, the experience was as lovely as one can hope for. I will break it down to better describe it.
Service: they helped us with our trip arrangements, booking a car rental with an auto transmission (which I couldn’t find over the web) and a transfer from the airport. The car pickup and return was at the hotel, thus avoiding expensive airport taxes, besides the convenience. They also assisted us in booking restaurants and activities during our stay, and took care of us with warm welcomes and close attention to our preferences.
Location: perched on a slope on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, every suite has great views of the lake and mountains. The hotel sits 7 km from downtown, and has a direct view of the top of Cerro Catedral, the ski center, which must be very convenient on ski season for evaluating first hand the weather conditions up there. There is a supermarket (Todo) less than 1 km away.
The rooms are on a class of their own. Our suite (the Charming) had a balcony overlooking Playa Bonita, a king size bed with a good mattress, heat radiating through the floors, a heating stove, a full kitchenette with tableware and even wine glasses, and a large flat-screen TV with a CD/DVD player and home theatre (5 tweeters and a large woofer, great sound, bring some music CDs, they have DVDs to lend). And then there’s the bathroom/spa: ours was built over a rock which came through the wall, creating a special atmosphere. The bathroom had 2 sinks, a bidet, heated towel rack, magnifying mirror, a dry sauna, a triple-size Jacuzzi with views of the lake, a smaller flat-screen TV, and a steam sauna/sauna shower/lateral jets/”color-aromatherapy” fun center. It’s great having all this comfort and fun, in complete privacy, after a day out in cold weather.
There is also a heated outdoors swimming pool and 2 outdoor Jacuzzis, a common use sauna, free wi-fi and free parking. Breakfast is very good, and we had an excellent dinner on our first night in.
Charming is a surprising work of love by its owners and staff, and provided us with more than we could expect for our stay in this magical corner of the world.

We were one of the first to stay at Charming. Alberto & Tiziana were wonderful host. Anything you wanted was yours. The Chalet we stayed in was fabulous!!! We have traveled from Europe to Australia and this was definetely the best place we have stayed. The views were awesome, the balconies were huge and abundant, the private sauna, the auroma/light therapy shower, they thought of everything. It rained the three days we were there but we didn't mind at all. Thanks Alberto, Tiziana and the rest of the staff, for a wonderful time!! Thank you for everything we really appreciated everything. Hopefully we will be able to return during ski season.

We stumbled across Charming during our recent trip to Argentina. Our hotel suggested dining at Charming's restaurant and we are so thankful to have discovered this luxurious lodge.

Alberto, the owner greeted us personally on arrival before taking us up to the restaurant. The restaurant has high ceilings, beautiful views and creates the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The food and wine list are exceptional - the steak in the malbec reduction was the best steak we ate during our trip. The service was exceptional - our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive.

After our meal, Alberto kindly showed us around the lodge and told us a little about himself. We were in for a treat - the rooms at Charming are exceptional with world-class features.

The lodge itself is located on a very large block of land fronting the beautiful lake Nahuel Huapi, guaranteeing privacy. Whether you fancy a swim in the outdoor heated pool or aromatherapy in your room, Charming has everything you could possibly desire.

Alberto has a wealth of knowledge about the area and really made us feel like friends rather than tourists.

Whether you are seeking a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Charming is prefect, providing a personal and memorable experience.

It's only a matter of time before we head back to Bariloche for some indulgence at Charming!

My husband and I stayed here and were absolutely happy with our entire experience. There are just not enough words to describe our eperience at Charming. I would stay here again in a heart beat. We were so happy we chose Charming as opposed to Llao Llao. Charming should be one of the World's top hotels.
