My wife and I spent 4 nights at Charming in December 2012. The hotel is very nicely appointed and the staff is very friendly and helpful...everything from charging the dead battery on my rental car to suggesting activities and restaurants. The complimentary cocktail when we arrived was a nice surprise and very welcome after a long trip.

The views from the hotel are amazing. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Location is well situated for exploring the area although you will need a car or taxi to get around the area.

All the great reviews are right and we endorse them. A very special place to stay - have not seen our Australian flag flying to welcome us before, or had complimentary drinks offered while we relax and complete a simple registration process, little touches that can make a huge difference. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast as well as all food served to perfection. We enjoyed the staff and owner, who could not do enough to make sure our visit to his lodge and Bariloche was all it could be. Only complaint was the wet, cold weather but so happy we could relax in our room, enjoy the spa, fire, views and comfort.

We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights in December. Tiziana, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. She made us feel at home and really wanted us to enjoy our stay. Our room was #17, a deluxe suite. (note-there was no room number on the door. It was a handicap room off of the main entrance.) I was not too excited with the room (no fireplace, heat didn't work at first, no privacy in the jacuzzi area with the window being on the walkway..) I was told all rooms were taken so we had to take this one. (Heat was fixed in a few hours.) We loved the location and enjoyed using the bus to explore the area. Our breakfast included was beautiful with great choices of food. Tiziana coordinated our included dinner and allowed us to eat at 7pm, earlier than expected and asked if we wanted a special location. We chose the top floor. Well, on the night of our special dinner (to celebrate our anniversary!), nothing was ready! No one was prepared for us. It went downhill from there. We left during the meal as we didn't seem to be expected for dinner. We were both so disappointed. We met some lovely couples also staying at the lodge. One even said they were upgraded to a huge place! (and here we are just asking to switch rooms.) So, overall, the property is LOVELY. Tiziana was so compassionate and really wanted it to go smoothly. After a couple of issues were handled, everything seemed to have worked out ok. Our view was lovely from our room. The owner, Alberto, was so nice also......

Incredible view, great rooms and excellent service! Really great, warm, cozy place with an amazing view of the water and mountains. Immediately upon arriving we wanted to extend our stay - not possible though! Easy access to a pebble beach and great food. We ended our 10 days Argentina trip in Bariloche and Charming was a nice relaxing time. Santiago is the man!

It's difficult to add much to the vast majority of the reviews. This place is fantastic and highly recommended.

We stumbled across it while driving along the edge of the lake and for our first night in town, we chose another option. For a second night, we thought what the heck, let's treat ourselves.

Check-in was a fantastic experience - welcoming drink and view of the lake were just perfect. Our room was magnificent - the glorious bed, the sauna, the steam room/shower with whizzy lights was trippy. We didn't even make it to the spa!

Highly recommended for a special time!
