La Fonda del Tio was recommended to us by a local when we asked for an "authentic" Bariloche eating experience and it definitely did not disappoint! On our way into the restaurant, two older Argentinian men even gave us handshakes and congratulations for finding the best restaurant in town! We happily followed their suggestion of the chicken milanesa, bife de chorizo, and their homemade flan with dulce de leche. The service was fast, the food delicious (and cheap!), and the atmosphere like a big Sunday night family dinner with local families filling the rooms. A great break from the expensive touristy restaurants you might experience elsewhere.
