“Grand Canyon-experience”

The Seven Lakes-tour was definitely one of the highlights of our Argentina-tour. Amazing lake-views, breathtaking mountain ranges, thrilling dirt roads. The road (65) to the picturesque Villa Traful is very bad and the sights are not worth it. The road from San Martin (great town!) to Bariloche (63) is not much better but……really worthwhile!! Stop at the Refugio Lago Meliquina (small restaurant) and experience how people lived in earlier years… The route 63 offers you astonishing views, over and over again. With every turn of the road a new view….. So if you have the chance….. do it, despite the bad road!!

“Amazing”

This a must! The only thing you must know is you are in Patagonia, and this route is ALWAYS under construction so, you will find some parts of very slow traffic. But the views, the lakes, the size and ages of the trees are terrific. Take food and beverages for a day trip and enjoy! Some parts of the road are still wth ash from the chilean volcano eruption 2 years ago, so be carefull on windy days.

“Amazing!”

An amazing trip. We had to hire a car as none of the tour companies were going on the Monday, the only day we could do it. this worked out for the better because we got to stop at all the stunning view points and lakes. A must for anyone in the region.

Nice route to do by car with great views. Stop to take pictures.
Do not miss lago Hermoso. Quiet and nice beach and not too crowded.

“A nice itinerary to follow.”

Joining S. C. de Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes, this route around 200 km. long offers magnificent sights all the way. There is a non paved portion in the middle, though.
