Our group of four arrived for lunch at 1PM, were the first customers there, and got a wonderful window table. We left at 3:30PM. It worked out fine for us- relaxing and pleasant. We ordered the vegetable strudel with mushroom cream sauce (strudel de verduras)- fabulous. Very rich, but one of the best dishes ever. Our second dish was the venison stew (guiso de ciervo), which we weren't crazy about. My husband loved the honey beer! Our friends ordered bife de chorizo (a thick, large slab of beef) "a punto" (medium rare), but sent it back to be cooked more thoroughly. The salad was fine. The gnocchi was as well, but the tomato sauce was not up to their expectations. The tablas (trays of cold cuts, cheeses) served all around us were gorgeous... works of art. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. It took well over half an hour to get the bill, but we weren't in a hurry. If we had it to do over, we would have shared the strudel and a salad rather than the venison.
