I was pleasantly surprised by La Morada. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The garden with swimming pool is a big plus. The breakfast is delicious with a large variety of fruits and fresh medialunas.

But most important, the owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Booked in for a few nights while daytripping to bodegas in Neuquen & Rio Negro ... Ended up staying a week when our fuel injector packed it in on our way out of town.

Nice decorative touches, simple sophistication. Modern, clean, fantastic back garden and pool area. Pretty neighbourhood, with ample street (& secured parking for those who desire it).

Hosts always available with a warm sincere smile to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

In sharing our plans with them over breakfast, they pointed out in the local newspaper some road blockades over the next few days that may interfere with our winery tours. Their kind attention allowed us to prepare alternate routes, and to bring along extra water and snacks ... had we found ourselves sitting in a queue in 37C weather.

They are also excellent at striking a balance between checking if you need anything when you pass by reception, the lounge, dining or pool area and giving you complete privacy - if you simply want to enjoy the birds, breeze, or view of the lush garden from your room.

We conveniently logged into our Netflix on the SmartTVs in rooms: Chocolat & Prado.

Evening meals that we enjoyed at La Morada are memorable as our hosts provided "cubiertos" table settings and anything we were lacking. On a few occasions we dined at the large poolside table and a couple occasions we enjoyed dining in the privacy of our room (Prado) after a long hot day of exploring.

The family pets (dog & bird) add a quality that defies specific description - because if you enjoy animals you can interact, however neither is a bother if you pay them no mind.

The quality and variety of the breakfast presentation was excellent. Locally made sweetened medialunas, yogurt, "dulces" (preserves/spread), fresh fruit, ham & cheese, self-serve; toast (white & w.wheat), dry cereal, fruit juice, coffee, tea, warm milk. **Optional service is to ask for it to-go, which is nice if you want to take a snack for the road. Nice touch!!

Excellent value for the money - considering the level of comfort, location, security, and "simpatico" nature of your hosts.

It's really the kind of petit hotel you will fondly remember during your stop-over in Neuquen ... And without a doubt recommend to dear friends and family venturing to the area.

Welcome home!!

I stayed at La Morada on a business trip to Neuquen - we booked very late and were incredibly lucky to find space available here. What an adorable place, with incredibly kind hosts! My coworkers and I were stuck working at the inn until very late on the first night, and the owners brought us coffee and recommended a place to grab a quick dinner for takeout. When we returned, they had set tables for us! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern. The outdoor space is lovely, and the lobby is very comfortable. On the second day, I was stuck again working in the hotel until around 3pm, and again the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. They brought breakfast, coffee, and offered to call a cab when it was time for me to go to my meeting. Only downside is that it is a little bit out of the way -- a cab ride is needed to get to the main part of town (although there isn't much there either...)

On our trip though the back roads of Argentina we were lucky to find La Morada in Neuquen. Ruben and Marta welcomed our family and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Their B&B is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but very close to the city center restaurants and main roads. We stayed there on both legs of our trip, and were happy to see familiar faces after a long trip on our way back. We had minor car trouble and Ruben quickly made a call and gave me directions to an honest and helpful repair shop. Our boys enjoyed an afternoon dip in the pool, and our small canine companion was welcome as well. Everything was clean and well put together. We look forward to our next visit.

At La Morada, hospitality is their strongest suit. From the very moment you arrive, Marta, Ruben and their children will make every effort to have you feel welcomed and will try their utmost to attend to your every need as a guest. Even a mere enquiry will see them making calls on your behalf to furnish you with all the information that you need. Marta and Ruben only speak minimal English, but their son and daughter were both conversant in it and can help translate if need be.

It's been almost a year since my stay there, but I've never forgotten how much help and kindness I received from the family when things didn't work out according to plan during my trip to Neuquen. Due to the volcanic ash blanketing the sky at the time, my flights were affected. I arrived much later than scheduled, and as a result, I missed all the buses that were headed for the various paleontology sights for the day. When I cursorily asked Marta what my options were if I were still keen on visiting El Chocón or Plaza Huincul, she and her daughter immediately set about checking with various agents and contacts that offer such services and advised me accordingly. They also gave me useful tips and suggestions on what I can do with my time. In the end, I relied on their help to make the necessary arrangements.

As it turned out, my flight out the next day was cancelled, so I was left scrambling to make alternate plans to carry on with my travels across Argentina. I was supposed to have flown off at noon, but instead, I found myself waiting for an advisory at the airport, and after that, trying to get a ticket on the earliest bus out to my next destination. When I learnt that it would be another 7 hrs before I can depart, I decided to head back to La Morada, not knowing where else to go.

Very graciously, the family welcomed me back even though I've already checked out. My intention was only to leave my luggage there for safekeeping but they offered me my room back since they haven't gotten round to clearing it, and said I could use it till I'm ready to go. This was so much goodwill on their part and I really appreciated it at a time when I was feeling a 'lil bummed out.

So this is my testament that the service at La Morada is top-notch. As for the room (I got 'Chocolate'), it left a very good impression the moment I stepped in. It was tastefully decorated, well-kept, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I felt at home.

A word of note though, the hotel is located in a quiet residential area, and not in the heart of town. But if like myself, you don't mind walking 15 to 20 minutes into town, then it shouldn't be too much of a concern. It is not too hard to find your way either. In any case, cabs are readily available and the owners will gladly call you one if need be.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Neuquen bed and breakfast that is in a residencial area. Our comfortable and spacious room was an advantage as we tried to repack our bags.

The B&B opened about two years ago after Ruben and Marta retired. So, the bedrooms/baths have been recently changed to provide guest quarters. The dining room that overlooks the splash pool and garden area is available for guest use and is wonderful when you come in from a road trip.

The owners are just as helpful as can be and want their guests to have a good stay.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor, which saved lugging the luggage up the steps. If anyone checks in late...

Due to the unexpected, indefinate closure of Neuquén's airport, we were suddenly stuck in this town for 2 nights.

After a quick search we ended up in this place, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise!

All accomodation in Neuquén is rather expensive, this place is no exception(500 pesos per night), but it is excellent value for money.

Our room(Cielo) was spacious, light, tastfully decorated and spotless. Furthermore, it had all the facillities you'd expect. We also had a nice 4x4mtr balcony.
The bed is super-comfortable and large.
Breakfast is typical Argentinean, but also contains savory ingredients, fruit and cereal.

There is a lovely garden with pool, although the water could use a change.

The owners live onsite, but there is a pleasant distance between private space and guest space.

Because of our situation, the owners were very helpfull, dispite their minimum level of English.
Their endless hospitality was sometimes a bit too much for our Dutch 'down-to-earthness' ;)

We can definately recommend this place.
