I'm adding my vote to this #1 Puerto Madryn hotel. We've stayed 3 nights there and enjoyed it very much. Read some recent reviews to understand the special ambiance of this place. I'll try to add some different info.
As a family with kids we enjoyed the great value triple room (king+single beds) which was spacious. The kids spent some time playing free video games in the small but tasteful playroom. Since there's no pool, the hotel allows you to reserve 30-60 minutes of private time in the jacuzzi room. This is a fantastic place in the spa which the kids and us loved. they jumped in and out of the big jacuzzi tub and we relaxed with hot tea viewing the sea from the huge windows. All in the privacy of the reserved spa (no additional cost).
Another wonderful service is the hotel naturalist Eloisa which unlike other hotels actually provides useful information about the traveling options and some interesting biology knowledge. She recommended the dolphins tour in Rawson which we took but saw no dolphins. We returned a bit disappointed and found that she has went and managed to get our money back from the boat tours company. We didn't ask for that! What a great service!
Final tip - the hotel has no outer sign stating its name. Several explanations from the staff still left this as a mystery. So if you're driving yourself, do yourself a favor and look at pictures of this hotel as there are no signs or address numbers around.

The pictures of the rooms on the website don't do justice to the this hotel, which strikes an excellent balance between modern/minimal (e.g. washed concrete floors) with nice rustic touches. (Sepia toned photographs of Puerto Madryn in the old days, wood occasional pieces straight from the estancia). Our room was one of the nicest we stayed in during out two-week trip to Argentina; it was very roomy, comfortable and spotless (Plus the bathroom was enormous with a separate shower and tub.) Territorio is probably one of the more expensive hotels in town but still good value relative, say, to what you'd get in the U.S.

The restaurant, on the other hand, is pretty expensive for what's on offer. Food is good but menu is limited. It's best to have a drink in the lovely bar area with its view of the beach and then take a walk (about 20 minutes) or catch a cab into town for dinner.

I spent a total of four nights at Territorio Hotel.
I'm pretty picky when it comes down to hotels and this one met my expectations.

In my opinion, the room and the staff were on par with high-end hotels from North America.

The food at breakfast was similar to other hotels I stayed in Argentina. Fresh sqeezed orange juice was yummy!

The staff recommended a few restaurants. One of my favorite was Las Dunas.
They also took care of booking my tours.

The only downside to the hotel is its location, it's about a 3km walk from the town.
However cabs are so cheap... you can go to the center for about 15 or 20 pesos ($5US)
That didn't stop from staying there and I would stay there again.

The rooms are very modern and spacious. The bathroom has a shower and a tub with a window to the sea. It is a walk to town but taxis are really efficient and inexpensive so you don't have to stay in town. The staff is very helpful and friendly. T restaurant serves a great dinner but the menu is very limited. Don't miss the whale boat trip or the penguin colony.

We stayed in Puerto Madryn for 3 nights at Territorio. The hotel is modern and have a different decoration. We thought that is awsome!!! Our room was perfect: 1 king size bed + 2 singles beds and lots of space between them (couple + 2 small kids)! very confortable!!!! The room amenities are another lovey touch which include some goodnight chocolates beside the bed... Staff were gentle and the breakfast had many good and healthy options. Dont miss!!!!
