“Nice place in nothing town”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

If you're unlucky enough to find yourself in Gaiman, you could do worse than this place. I enjoyed the tea, just because it's hard to get tea like it is back home.

Share a pot with cakes with 2-4 people for around £10.

“Nice, acogedor lugar, pero no espectacular!”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

The fact is that we expected a lot more driving all the way to Gaiman, some pintoresque town or something. The cafe is nice, very well decorated and comfortable. They serve a lot of food, sandwiches, cakes, toasts and scones with black tea for a fixed fee.

The tea is pretty standard, nothing special and while some of the cakes are nice, the toasts just got wasted since there was so much else to eat that we did not touch them (and we were a big group).

The point being, if you are passing by for other reasons or you live in the region, this is a very nice place to stop for tea, but if I had to do it again, I would not deviate to come here since the town and tea offered in this welsh cafes is nothing out of the ordinary.

“Great Service”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

Great service at a good price! Plenty of traditional welsh cakes to chose from, can't understand people complaining about the lack of Coffee in a TEA house. Clue is in the name!.

Staff were friendly, prompt and very helpful.

“Welsh afternoon tea (even at 10am) in Argentina”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

A lovely setting in the Welsh town of Gaiman, celebrating the Welsh heritage of Argentinian settlors. Fantastic traditional food, with tea served in old-fashioned tea pots with woollen cosies. Very friendly staff. Leave enough time for a wander round town and observe the mix of Spanish and Welsh names - Miguel Jones and Garcia Owens, as examples.
Beautiful town, beautiful people, lovely food.

“Tourist trap!!!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

This place is a tourist trap. It is a kitschy and overpriced version of a Welsh teahouse that costs 100ARS per person. On arrival, you do not receive a menu, and are automatically served two standard plates of tasteless sandwiches and desserts with a black tea. Additionally, it smells like stale air, which is not a pleasant odor to have while eating. I would not recommend this place.
