Good food, friendly waitress, we were there at a quiet time but have heard from other travellers that the place is buzzing at weekends. Flexible with their menus, very accommodating (non-dairy pizzas with caramelised brown sugar recommended!) and good fish choices too. Also excellent salads and pasta. Interesting music too, multicultural!
This is a real gem of a restaurant/bar in Gaiman, just off the main street.
Andrew Ifans, of Welsh decent speaks fluent Welsh,English and Spanish.
The food is fantastic - steak, fish, salads, pasta etc
Great choice of drinks including Patagonia a strong local ale which is highly recommended after the gassy Quilmes.
This is frequented by locals and tourists alike and the welcome and ambience will take a lot of beating!
We stayed in Gaiman for three days and ended up spending most of our time at Gwalia Lan. Andres, the owner, was such a welcoming host, the food was sublime and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed evening out. Argentina is renowned for its steak and we had our fair share in BA, Mendoza and elsewhere in Patagonia. But the steak at Gwalia Lan topped the lot.
If you ever stay in Gaiman, this place is not to be missed.
