“Amazing Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

The early start is worth it but wrap up warm it is cold to start with but soon warms up. The views are amazing and our guide is very good. A glass of champagne at the highest point with a few nibbles was a nice touch. The truck ride was very bumpy but that is part of the fun.
This is a trip not to be missed if you get the chance.

“Uncomfortable ride”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

The safari vehicle we took was not in good shape. A broken window had been replaced with a sheet of plastic. The window frame were not adjusted. Leg room between seats was too tight. The ride is quite long, on the order of four hours for the return ride, so comfort does matter. Except when it's not comfortable, of course.
A word of caution: the road for its most part is not paved. The ride is therefore bumpy. We had the misfortune of following another such vehicle down the mountain, so we ended up eating dust most of the way.
Set aside the time, take the train instead. For the difference in price, the quality of the train is a much better buy.

“Wow! Priceless!”

Visiting the small villages near the Andes is something that every traveler should do. Forget shopping malls...go for local handcrafts fairs.

“Amazing journey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

It's even more amazing that the write ups. Words can't describe the wonderful scenery.
The first portion of our trip that mirrored the train route wad cancelled due roads being washed out from rain storms the prior few days.
Movitrack did their best to make up for it including a delightful lunch in Parmamarca.
Its worth the money but it is a long day meeting the truck at 5:50am and returning at 9:00pm. Their is an overnight option in Parmsmarca which is a queit village.
