Although it was cheap, it was of all the hostels I took in Latin America by far the worst one. We had a room for two persons that you can compare with a prison cell (and I do not exaggerate), with gum and nasty stains in the sheets. The toilets were gross (including feces) and during the night you couldn´t sleep because of the noise and too much light. Good points: breakfast is ok, living room is nice and the distance to the center is a 10 minute walk. But that´s about it. Avoid.

We got this hostel through the previous hostel we stayed in so thought it would be fine. The positive thing was that it was only €10 per person per night for a twin room. However our room was not only very tiny, the sheets were paper thin, the blanket on our bed had several gum stains and the walls looked like someone threw his coffee (or whatever) against it.

The hostel advertises with a whole list of things but when we asked about the lockers they said they didn't had them. Once we pointed them on the list of facilities on Hostelworld (and even outside the hostel on a banner!) they dragged a cabinet with a few tiny lockers in our already not so spacious room. The bathrooms could use an update as well since the paint is falling down, the showerheads are missing on some showers and the toiletseats are worn down.

If you want a party hostel- this is it.
The common room/ kitchen is huge, but in the middle of the place. People rumble around at all hours of the night, smoking and drinking, music is loud and people are friendly but party heavily.

Bathrooms with showers, hot water, fairly clean, a safe bet if the guy comes up to you in the terminal and you don't want to look any further.

We took the offer from a guy at the bus station who paid for the taxi to the hostel. Well, it was just one night - a night without sleep. They have lots of rooms and bathrooms (great plus), but they are all centralized around the common room with the kitchen. The staff doesnt care if the music and/or the people are loud until after midnight. The kitchen itself was nice and huge, good to cook in. The breakfast was average. So take earplugs if you want to sleep or stay somewhere else.

This is another party hostel. After 18 hours on a bus all we wanted was some sleep, this wasn't going to happen noise loud music, table football outside our cupboard until 0500. The room was not big enough to fit two back packs down the side of the bed. And was dirty we stayed until we could get out, as they lock you in , hate to think what would happen in the event of a fire

Room Tip: We moved to the apart hotel ref which was excellent and the same price as the hostel

Music playing LOUD until 2am and our room was next to the common area. When we mentioned it the next morning, we were told we were lying. A German couple complained aswell, and they were also told they were lying. However, they insisted they were only going to pay half price, and in the end the owner agreed, but we had already paid the day before and she refused to give us half of our money back!! I´ve stayed in some bad hostels in Argentina, but the attitude of ANNA the owner was definately the worst!

Also, WIFI good, breakfast sucked.

Go around the corner to Hostal Salta Por Siempre on Tucuman 464 and gladly pay the 10 extra peso for space and aircon.

The guy hard sell at the bus station is obviously too good so he overcrowd the place too much.
