They don't take checks, but when they lost there internet an could not take a credit card they changed there mind. The new owners have driven into the ground.

Today was my wife's birthday. She doesn't cook on her birthday. The upscale place we picked for her birthday luncheon had nothing attractive on the Special Menu and the routine daily menu was a routine daily menu.

We went to The Iowa Cafe for the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. The onion rings were as good as the sandwich, which means the meal was OK. Adequate portions; decent wait service. And since it was Sunday and they close earlier on that day, we could order off the supper menu as well.

Too full for pie!

Skip this place. There are much better choices. The hostess is loud and obnoxious, very noisy overall, the food is only fair, and the portions are very small, but the prices are very high for what you receive. I do not recommend it.

Worst pork tenderloin ever, thin, greasy, no flavor - it should be a signature item! "Award Winning" cinnamon roll was unimpressive and dry, we did not finish it. The twisted Denver omelette was not very good either. The potatoes were the only redeeming item on our plates. The kids portions were small - one wonder bread slice of French toast and one piece of bacon. The website is out of date and has the wrong address, waitress said owners have lost the password. It has changed owners a few times. We are definitely not going back! Don't waste your time & money.

Maybe we visited at the wrong time cause we were told they were moving to a different location (we visited while they were on 5600 E McKellips). Food was OK but I was disappointed cause I'd heard rave reviews elsewhere.
