Meeting with special friends not seen in over 20 years means dinner at a restaurant with it's own history which The Landmark has. We made reservations for six on a Sunday night and were glad we did, went right to our table. The menu offerings were substantial (as were the serving sizes) with 'something for everyone' including a salad bar you'll just have to see. Two in our party selected that option for dinner, both very pleased. Service was equal to the task of serving six old pals, all talkers with much to share yet did so with kindness and understanding. A huge "well done" to The Landmark. (Do visit downstairs and view the old photos, well worth your time).

Consistantly good. Personally, I like going for lunch instead of dinner because of prices. The salad room is our family's favorite. At lunch it's 9.95 and dinner is 14.95. It offers a variety of soups (usually at least three different kinds), salad, every fresh veggie you can think of, meatballs, chicken and dumplings, beans, potatoes, hot cinnamon apples, bbq chicken, variety of pasta salads, cole slaw, cookies, fruit. The salad room alone in a great meal! You can order sandwiches or a dinner which include a side salad, or you can pay 7.00 extra to add salad room. Average cost of meals are between 12.00 and 24.00. All home cooked meals but pricey. The salad room at lunch is the best value. Of course, drinks are extra. Be prepared to climb 12 stairs to get to the restaurant.

This venue is located in an old Mormon church, which is a historic building w/ some history. We were greeted and seated promptly and our server, Jeff, quickly brought menus and took our drink orders. No draft, only bottled, unfortunately. We had green salads, which were crisp and fresh. My wife's prime rib, was perfect medium rare and my pot roast was very tender and the gravy was flavorful. The sweet potato fries and glazed carrots were very good. There was a nice mix of patrons in the old fashioned dining room. The service was speedy and our server, despite working two twelve hour shifts, was vert friendly and personable.

Friends took us to the Landmark last week during the week. Took 30 minutes to be seated even with a reservation. They were very disorganized. Did not see a manager the whole evening. Salad room is outstanding and should have just gone for that. Everything including hot dishes that you would want. Must have been in a different restaurant than Cindyt_93 as this is a whole room of different items.

The service was slow, I had a caesar salad with my prime rib and it took fifteen minutes after everyone that had gone to the salad room was done.

The biggest issue was the Prime Rib. Tough, fatty, and no taste. I ordered the 12 oz and it was no bigger than the 8 oz that another at our table had. I even asked the waiter if they had made a mistake on the order. It was no thicker or larger than the other cut. Just not quality prime rib. It was a cut that you would get at a 24 hour truck stop. Not up to the price.

Go for the Salad Room!

This is a beautiful building. My mother went to this building when it was a church many years ago. I just wish they had better food. I got the salad bar and was disappointed. Not a huge selection, and the food was mediocre. Service was also slow, even when we were only one of two tables occupied in the large dining area. It's worth it to go at least once to see this historic landmark, just wish the food and service were up to the same standards at this building.
