This isn't the place for gourmet pizza, but definitely 3/5 stars. Our girls 10 and 12 insist we stop every time we stop in Phoenix. The organ is incredible and the place is run and maintained as well as it's organ. Great family stop. Don't forget the ice cream!

“An evening of music and good pizza”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

As the last stop on a three-day trip with a group of 45 seniors we made our way to the Organ Stop Pizza house in Mesa and were greeted not only by the delightful fragrances of delicious pizza, but also the merry tones of the 4 manual theater organ being played with verve by Charlie Balogh, one of the three artists who regularly play "the mighty Wurlitzer." The building was designed especially for the enjoyment of the patrons with 43 foot high ceilings which give outstanding acoustics and the organ is displayed on an 8,000.lb. rotating hydraulic elevator to make it possible for everyone to obtain the best view of the gorgeous black and gold instrument. The organ is the largest Wurlitzer in the world, beautifully encased in an exact replica of a Fox Special French case, ornamented to match the famous Brooklyn Paramount Wurlitzer.
All three of the artists who regularly perform on this instrument are outstanding organists with long careers and many awards for their playing. Charlie began his musical instruction at age eleven. Lew Williams began playing the organ at age 10 and Donna Parker began her organ studies at the age of 7. Any one of the three organists will make your pizza taste even better as they play superbly!

“ORGAN (big "O") and pizza (small "p)”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

If you're into funky, fun old-timey, nostalgic music played really loud, don't miss the ORGAN at Organ Stop Pizza. If you're into pizza, buy one here anyway so you have something to snack on while you listen to the amazing music. This place is all about the organ music, which is subperb. The pizza is edible but you wouldn't go there to get one if they didn't have the organ gimmick. I believe the organists performing at this place know every song ever written. And to my ears they play them flawlessly and with great flair. The organ is showy and fascinating to watch. The pizza is a hurry-up slap some stuff on a pre cooked non remarkable commercial tasting crust. So go for the organ music, it's fun; you could also just buy some ice cream or a soda and get real pizza later somewhere else. Worth a visit. Set your sights high on the music and low on the pizza. AND by the way - they basicall accept CASH only. No credit or debit cards and they are mighty particular about checks. They'll take your check, reluctantly, but they require a lot of detailed ID verification. Save the aggravation and bring cash.

“Not To Miss When In The Area”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

One of the largest Whurlitzer Theater Pipe Organs in the world. Don't miss seeing and hearing this wonderful instrument being professionally played with lively songs as well as the classics. This organ is not only huge, but includes dozens of other instruments, all played from the giant console.
Upon arriving, you order your pizza and/or salad and drink. Pick a seat and then return to pick up your pizza when ready. I found the Pizza to be better than the average fast food pizzas, and not bad priced considering there is no cover to enjoy this magnificant instrument.
CD's, DVD's and other souvineers available near the door.

Great entertainment for the entire family!

“Fun, Not Your Ordinary Experience”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

This was just plain fun and the music was incredible. Only organ like this in the world, so I was told by a nice man leaving the restaurant at the same time we were leaving. He has been coming to this restaurant for 25 yrs. I am sure he enjoyed every evening listening to the organ player. Pizza was good, seating is cheek to cheek on long tables and was very crowded. Lots of children and people of every age would enjoy the show.
