“Wonderful area for desert walks or hikes.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

There are so many trails for all levels in the desert. I highly recommend this area for those who have little experience in the desert. The visitors center has lots of talks and kides to guide you in your experience.

“Thank you, bloomin' desert!”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Nice hiking trails, including easy ones. Parking for many. Shaded picnic areas. A visitor center where you can learn about the desert. A wonderful experience!

“Beautiful place to hike”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Great little covered picnic areas. The hike to the wind caves is well maintained and has great views. You can also just hike around the base of the mountains. It was great to see so many people taking advantage of the park and the nice weather. The flowers are amazing if you are lucky enough to visit at that time.... (usually March, I think)

“Great spot - Beautiful in the NE Valley - not far from the 202.”
Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

Scarface Mt is a great climb to the wind cave with fabulous views of the entire Valley.
Lots of other hikes to choose from with many things to see & beautiful vistas. Some are short walks and others for hrs & more challenging.
The Visitors Ctr is not to be missed. Staff & volunteers are most helpful. Special programs available nearly everyday Free with the cost of admission, which is very inexpensive, especially for families on limited budget.
Whatever your interest you should find something to enjoy here outdoors.
