If you're looking for a something fun to do for a couple of hours during a weekend in Mesa, the Market Place might be a place to shop. There is a lot of merchandise packed into the area. For the tourist looking for souvenirs such as t-shirts or regional items, there is a big variety. The place can get crowded so go early. Parking is free and the location is easy to find. Most of the merchandise is reasonably priced so it's easy to find something of interest. There is food available for breakfast or lunch.

Hello from the market place! Thank you so much for mentioning our local crafts people, nursery people, and traders! We've got local cheese curds, honey, bakery goods, pies, gourmet oils and spiced sauces. We have more local potters, painters, sculptors, photographers, muralists, and jewelers than ever before. Thank you for helping us get the word out! Glad you made us one of your stops.... please stay in touch and visit us again!

We got there early before it got too crowded. Lots of stuff and I suggest looking at everything before you make a purchase. You see many of the same items throughout the swap meet.

This is a very large market, it features many vendors with an array of products. That being said there is also a lot of booths featuring the cheap off shore items that are of questionable quality. There are some local food vendors but these are few and far between. It would be really neat to see a farmers style market component featuring local producers and products.

But the people watching is fantastic.

It was suggested that this place was not to be missed, so we went expecting "great things that we just couldn't leave without". Yes, there is lots to see, but 99% of it was junk or made in China, India or Pakistan. Imagine "Mexican" pottery, blankets and metal wall pictures, etc. made in China. We were so unhappy and displeased with the quality of stuff here and especially where things were made. We did find two shops that had items that were "Hecho en Mexico", but by that time we were totally disillusioned, disgusted and left empty handed.

Hello Susie P!
I'm sorry you were disappointed and let down by Mesa Market Place Swap Meet. We work hard to find the best, most diverse, and most desired merchandise for our shoppers. We respectfully thank you for your review of our market place and will apply your thoughts to make our market even more inviting.

Mostly commerical vendors. Has several food booths and live music. Went looking for some things for a family members home, came home with a lot more items than expected.
