I've only been to concerts or shows, not the classes, but the Ikeda theater is fabulous. I've never had a bad seat, and the acoustics are brilliant.

Although most of its bookings don't interest me, I enjoy walking around outside, taking photographs, and visiting the gift shop. It's definitely an exciting addition to the downtown area of Mesa.

We've seen Hal Holbrook, Yitchak Perlman and others that were spectacular - and the occasional show that was a dud. But the venue is first rate -

Parking is easy, though some lots may charge when there is a major event.

There's a small contemporary art museum - not my style, though others seemed to enjoy it.

Right in the heart of Mesa, easy parking, close to restaurants that serve good food, top-grade entertainment.
